  • Ep. 18 Hangin' With Wang (Mohr Wangs... More Problems/ Ep.1) - With AJ Mohr

In this new twist on the 'Hangin With Wang' Podcast, we step away from the conventional one-on-one format and let loose.

On this first edition of 'Mohr Wangs, More Problems' we...

    - Introduce our newest co-host (Aj Mohr... Mohr Wangs, More Problems... get it?)

    - 7:30: Aj learns how to operate a television.

    - 25:00: Kermit the Frog and Jon Gruden (head coach of the LV Raiders) stop by after several hours at the bar.

    - 34:00: How Lance Armstrong and Kermit the Frog went from Nate's childhood heroes to just pure disappointment... and Aj loves Barney... Aj also doesn't know that Kermit IS NOT from Sesame Street.

    - 42:00: Nate isn't technically savvy and therefore forgets to turn off the voice-activated time updater thing on his computer - scaring the bejesus out of Aj.

I still plan on interviewing new names in future episodes.

  • Episode 17 - Maddie Reeves

“Travel is a fantastic self-development tool, because it extricates you from the values of your culture and shows you that another society can live with entirely different values and still function and not hate themselves. This exposure to different cultural values and metrics then forces you to reexamine what seems obvious in your own life and to consider that perhaps it’s not necessarily the best way to live."

And for blogger, world traveler, and soon-to-be podcaster Maddie Reeves, it was traveling and living outside of the culture she was born in that helped form the person she is today.

    In this episode, Maddie talks...

    - Getting out of her own head, stepping outside of her comfort zone, and living a life she is proud of (despite what others may think).

    - Stories of her travels and the culture shock that accompanied adopting new customs.

    - How she plans to help others that are going through what she went through.

    - Much more...

  • Episode 16 - AJ Mohr

"If you want to make God laugh, tell him your plans." And we did have a plan... I would be the next Dan Dickerson, and he would be the next Justin Verlander.

However, after a career-ending UCL tear, Aj was forced to step away from the game he loved until bouncing back in a position he never pictured himself being in.

    In this episode, we discuss...

    - Memories of our playing days and some other-than-smart decisions we made through high school and college.

    - The highs of being one of the best in the area... and the extreme lows of surgery and recovery.

    - What the future of the game looks like, and what the parent experience is like in youth sports.

    - Perspective on life, baseball, and AJ fulfilling a promise he made to himself a LONG, LONG time ago.

    - Just a whole lot of Wang and AJ being Wang and AJ.

  • Episode 15 - Jesse Campbell

"The grass isn't greener on the other side... its greener where you water it"... and... "Don't try being happier than happy."

Both are overused sayings, but both describe the one thing that makes working in sports all worth it... perspective.

Cornerstone University Sports Information Director, Jesse Campbell, discusses...

    - Why D1 athletics isn't necessarily the goal.

    - How hard it was navigating the 2020 season and pushback from other schools inside and outside the WHAC.

    - The Corn game and what baseball needs to do to turn the ship around.

  • Episode 13 - Springett Smokes and DZ

This week on the pod, we feature a pair entrepreneurs who seek to carve out their own version of success and happiness.

First, we talk to a good friend of mine and fellow graduate, Kenny Springett. Former all-state bowler/comedian, Kenny reflects on the long list of trials and errors he's gone through - only to find what he actually loves (MAKING SOME BOMB JERKY).

Second, we sit down with social media influencer and fitness model, Dan Zolinski, who gives us an all-important reminder about why we shouldn't care what ANYONE has to think about us or our dreams.

Our lineup for August is stacked, so keep it locked!
