In the Key of Blue presented by DJ Ferbidden

Man, I do love a good double entendre! If you are of a certain age and grew up in the 80s and 90s, you will not want to let this mix go—there are a few party mainstays and car jams. I can’t stop nodding my head to this one. Good luck trying to name all the songs and artists on this one. I don’t think you can do it without looking them up. If you do, hit me up! Please like, follow, and share! It takes a village, and you are my Tribe if you made it this far. Tell me how I am doing and what you want to hear [email protected].

You are not ready for this banger. Seriously, if you don’t understand this mix, we can’t be friends! Okay, I am being a little dramatic. This mix defines the art of a “DJ Drop.”  A fast pace, slow burn with a great payoff toward the end. You may not like all the songs, but there is something in this mix for you, I promise. Some classics you would expect to hear with, what I believe, include exciting twists and turns, dropping you right into the next groove. Hang in there and you will be rewarded with a mix like no other. I can’t do this without you. Please, like, follow, and share! Let me know how I am doing and what you want to hear [email protected].

Welcome to Team Right. On this mix, you will be reminded of some classics and introduced to other songs that I believe will become classics for the next generation of Twerkers! Check back, listen in a few years, and let me know if I got this mix right or wrong. Should there be more mixes in this series? I think you know those mixes will be called “Up” and “Down” if I do. Enjoy your workout! Drop me a line at [email protected].

Let me know if you are Team Left or Team Right. I don’t think there is a wrong answer as long as you move. And no, Miley did not invent Twerking; sorry to disappoint you. I am pretty sure some of you will debate the song selections. Personally, if you are into classics, your vote will probably be for Team Left. Either way, I would start with the left and shift to the right. Please subscribe, share, rate, and leave me some feedback! How am I doing? Hit me up anytime at [email protected].

The long overdue sequel to “Fela’s Legacy,” I present to you “Summer Sizzle ‘23.” In a year, the genre has exploded to create some of the hottest artists and remixes heard worldwide. The vibe is strong, chill, and seductive. I hope you discover a new artist and enjoy familiar favorites as we take an exhilarating sonic journey of sound. From chart-toppers to hidden gems, a few I think will be hit later this summer. I held back a couple of hits to feature in a future edition-don’t worry; I didn’t forget about Tems. It’s hot, and I am in the Lab cooking more fresh mixes. So, tune in and tune out the world for an hour! Stay connected and follow me for more in this series. Will you take this journey with me? Hit me up anytime at [email protected].

Fela Kuti's legacy of Afrobeat lives on with this new generation of artists, including Burna Boy, Teni, Rema, and Skiibii, who are taking the world by storm. We are hearing more Afrobeat on R&B radio stations across the country daily. I love the textures and chill vibe that this sound brings. This is my first AfroBeat Mix. Let me know what you think.
