The past 4 years George has been called on to work with many major casting companies to help in finding talent for new “reality” food shows such as The Taste with the late Anthony Bourdain and Americans Great Bake-Off with Jeff Foxworthy. For 24 seasons, George was the Culinary Coordinator of the world’s Largest County Fair in Los Angeles where his duties were to implement food contests daily with the coordination of the judges and competitors. George’s teaching/lecturing schedule regularly takes him around the world, teaching at over 200 schools, spas, wineries and food festivals a year. For eight years George, had been a featured speaker and lecturer aboard the Holland America Line ships visiting over 118 countries and every continent, including seven World Cruises and 17 Grand Voyages.

When not in a kitchen he leads mouth-watering culinary tours of major cities of America and Europe. George has shared some of his favorite recipes with television viewers on ABC, The Food Network, NBC, CBS, and PBS. Alan K. Rode is an American film scholar and preservationist, cinema host, producer, charter director and treasurer of the Film Noir Foundation and a co-host of the NOIR CITY, Hollywood and Chicago film festivals. He has been the producer and host of the annual Arthur Lyons Film Noir Festival in Palm Springs, California since 2008 and has hosted numerous other cinema events. In addition to his many filmed interviews of Hollywood artists, he has produced numerous classic film Blu-ray commentaries and special features and appeared as a Spotlight co-host on Turner Classic Movies in 2018. Alan is also known for his books, Michael Curtiz: A Life in Film, Charles McGraw: Biography of a Film Noir Tough Guy and Blood on the Moon.

David Melville is co-founder and Managing Director of ISC (Independent Shakespeare Co.). He is the writer and composer of Red Barn, which performed in the Independent Studio in the fall of 2012 (redbarnthemusical.com). With ISC, he has played many of Shakespeare’s leading roles, including Hamlet, Richard II, Iago, Macbeth, Henry V, Benedick and Leontes. He also plays the clown, as evidenced by ISC turns as Costard, Launce, Sir Toby, Touchstone, Stephano and Dr. Pinch (with spinoff band Dr. Pinch and the Pinchtones). His London appearances include the Almeida Theatre productions of Hamlet and Ivanov (both featuring Ralph Fiennes), Mother Courage (with Glenda Jackson) and Henry VI in The Wax King (The Man in the Moon). On Broadway, David made his US debut in Hamlet at the Belasco theatre in 1995. On TV, David created and starred in the Travel Channel comedy series Lawrence of America.

The first thing you notice about Chef Bernhard Mairinger is his height, for at 6’8” tall, he is arguably the tallest toque you’ll ever encounter. His towering size matches his culinary creativity, which has made him a standout chef since his career began in his native country of Austria nearly 20 years ago.

In the years leading up to Mairinger’s Winter 2023 opening of Lustig, his newest eatery located in Culver City, California, the chef has racked up experience and accolades that make him one of Southern California’s most exciting culinary talents.

His first position in Los Angeles was as Chef de Cuisine at Patina, working with Chef Joachim Splichal’s renowned Patina Group, which earned four stars from the Los Angeles Times during his time there.
