  • #22 Interview with Peter Buchanan-Smith. The Love Affair with the AXE. Artist, Designer, Entrepreneur, and Friend.

We get a little deep with our guest in this pod cast, and I think its great.  Many topics are discussed including Peter's affection for the AXE and its history itself and its history in his life.  We talk about the importance of the American Garage, and how electronic screens just kinda dont do it for people like us.  Peter and I are similar in many ways and from what I can tell from our followers of this pod cast, you will enjoy hearing from Peter.

In the end we discuss why a tool or an object can be so important.  There is a trust and an appreciation for the device or tool.  We get into that a bit in our conclusion of "in the seam".  Enjoy.

  • #19 Fly Tying is Great Therapy. Adirondack Fly Company and Master Fly Tyer Dom Greico

Today we bring to the mic an old friend of mine Dominick Greico of @adirondackflycompany.  Find them on Instagram here.

Dom is a terrific fly tier and his story is compelling.  When he was much younger he had a brain tumor and part of his recovery left him with some tremors in his hand.  Fly Tying was just the answer to learn his dexterity.  Little did he know that years later after the kids grew up a bit and he had some free time again, he would re-visit fly tying and become what I believe is a world renowned fly tyer.   His flies are amazing and his story is even more wonderful.  Listen to this podcast and check out his flies and his social media presence on Instagram and Facebook.

Dom is an old friend of mine and it was great to connect with him.  Thanks bud for taking the time to be on the show.

  • #18 Fishing the Florida Keys in Islamorada with Rich Burson of R U Fishing Yet Charters

Today we talk to long time friend and guide Rich Burson of R U Fishing Yet Charters in Islamorada Florida, Florida Keys.

The Florida Keys are a chain of islands that are over 100 miles long.  They start about 17 miles from Miami and extend to almost 90 miles from Cuba at its southern most point.   I love the keys and I love everything around them; meaning the backcountry.  Once you have seen the back country of the Florida Keys, you will realize that the islands are really just a road to get there.  The real adventure is on the water.

I hope you enjoy this pod cast, and reach out to me if you have any questions.
