Archbishop Timothy Costelloe SDB is a Melbourne-born clergyman who joined the Salesians of Don Bosco in 1977 and was ordained to the priesthood in 1986. After serving in various educational and parochial roles in Melbourne and Perth, including earning a doctorate in theology, he was appointed an Auxiliary Bishop of Melbourne in 2007. In this capacity, he oversaw significant portfolios in education and youth ministry before being appointed the sixth Archbishop of Perth by Pope Benedict XVI in 2012. Throughout his career, he has remained deeply committed to the Salesian mission of serving young and marginalized people while holding key leadership positions within the Australian Catholic Church.
