Enoch was seven generation from Adam. Enoch’s name means “The Dedicated One.” He was one whomodeled a life of faith filled dedication, who walked with God and pleased Him.When we dedicate something, we set it apart for God's use. Therefore, when we dedicate ourselves we turn our back to our own natural desires, we separate ourselves from teh ways of the world and everything that would challenge the will of God in our lives. The first born son of Enoch was Methusela.

In this final episode on Adam The First Man we see the sin of Adam and Eve and the immediate consequences of their disobedience. They receive the judgement of the certainty of death of their now mortal bodies. Also, in the life they now face will be with the challenge of life in a cursed earth that Adam must now toil to produce food. Eve will experience childbirth with pain. But God will provide them a covering to bring reconciliation and a prophetic promise for a future saviour Jesus Christ, the Seed of the woman given in Genesis 3:15.

In this episode God establishes the sanctity of marriage between Adam and Eve. The unique creation of Eve from the rib of Adam speaks of their joint and equal standing before God. The woman was taken from a rib (beside), not a bone in the foot (underneath). This symbolizes that the man and his wife are heirs together of life (1 Peter 3:7). He does not lord it over her. In this episode we also look at the events of the fall of Adam and Eve through the sin of disobedience to the Word of God and the outcomes for them and for us all.

Adam was the pinnacle of God's creation. After 5 days of creating a perfect environment for life on earth, God created Adam from the clay of the earth and brought him to life by breathing His own spirit into him and Adam was created eternal in spirit, soul and body. Along with Eve they were given a mandate to multiply the human race and expand the Garden of God into the entire earth. The process Adam was instructed to activate to accomplish this awesome assignment was Faith. Follow Adam's story and those of the men of God that followed him in this series we call the Patriarchs.
