Topics

• LIke we do with all our new guests, we find out what Bob has in his Apple and iOS devices box I know he is like me and gets the latest stuff like Dave.
• Bob is a big audiophile we talk about what are the best speakers,, headphones, and other devices that make your iPhone or iPad sound great. Add links here

Airpods vs PowerBeats portability in mind Powerbeats Pro vs. Powerbeats 3

The actual headphones you use are also a huge contributor to sound quality. There are hundreds of headphones. In-ear, on-ear, over-ear. Closed and Open designs. For portable or out and about I really like the in-ear monitor.

For these we need the lightning to 3.5mm headphone "dongle" on the iPhone

https://www.apple.com/shop/product/MU7E2AM/A/usb-c-to-35-mm-headphone-jack-adapte

Three headphones that Bob likes for portability:

Etymotic. ER3SE

https://www.etymotic.com/consumer/earphones/er3-new.html

Shure: SE535

https://www.shure.com/en-US/products/earphones/se535

Audeze LCDi4 $2500 (Includes a special lightning cable with DAC)

https://www.audeze.com/products/lcd-collection/lcdi4-ear-headphone

***For both the Shure and the Etymoic the https://www.complyfoam.com/ ear tips improve both the comfort/fit and sound performance and isolation. A set of three sizes are about $20. I highly recommend them.

Bluetooth Speakers

I rarely use Bluetooth speakers as I have found that for a lot of my use case the iPad Pro speakers are really very good. The do not fill the room but they are comfortable. And there is nothing else to keep charged. One of the reasons I get iPad's loaded up with storage is to hold music for offline use. I have an older Bose mini speaker to use when we travel.

HomePod? They are great as a Pair.

Calendaring is still not making me happy. We briefly discuss calendering woes.

App Picks

Bob's Picks

Spark iOS App

MindNode 6 Beta iOS
