In Wheel Time Podcast

After making some qucik adjustments due to our host, Don Armstrong having to leave unexpectidly, the show must go on!

In this segment, we talked about some of the recent recalls.  We also discuss how to check your own vehicle for a possbile recall.  It is a great idea to do this everytime the time changes, just like changing the batteries in your fire alarms as there seems to be new recalls everyday.

Over in the car clinic, Konrad is shareing information about the number of cylinders in an engine.  Much like the number of valves in a head, there have been some interesting 'numbers' of cylinders that have found their way under hoods.

Friend of the show, Richard Tomlin with Apex Auto Works is heavily involved in the Houston Area sports car scene.  In fact, he is the Regional Executive for the Sports Car Club of America, and he is also a member of Racers Without Borders...if there were such a group.

Several years ago, Richard introducted us to some Road Racing in Mexico ... like real racing on the roads.  It sounds like an exciting event with a lot of local color and flavor that is hard to find in a lot of places.  Richard just got back and has an update on how it went...

Then, in the New Car Showroom, Don Armstrong has been checking out the new 2021 Kia Sorento - a mid-size turbo powered three row SUV.

Seems every car enthusiast has a story - if we are lucky, we grow up in a car world leading us to venture out on our own.  With a family of auto enthusiast to lead the way, Marc Sorger worked his way through most aspects of the car culture.  He did some builds, did some drag racing, a little road racing, and even briefly got behind the wheel of a NHRA Funny Car.
These days his focus is more towards saving or bringing old relics back to life.  Join us to hear more about some facinating auto history of one man's passion.

In our feature segment, Michael Marrs continues with his look at Banned Race Cars when he show us some 6-wheel wonders that didn't last very long.

Texas Truck Works is a name that has been around for a while modifying trucks and providing accessories.  They have also become heavily involved in the world of Jeep by developing a name creating more power by doing engine swaps.  The HEMI is a popular swap with a lot of low end power, and of late, the LS swaps have also found new popularity.

Larry Baldwin takes us on a tour of tour of the show room as well as some of the projects that are in the shop.  From mild to wild, this team seems to be able to do it all.

In staying with the Halloween theme this week, our feature segment of this episode of In Wheel Time Car Talk, we hear about the Funeral Hearse - a few little known facts and some fun from Jeff Dziekan.

One of our favorite auto couples live up in Oregon, and they are involved in all kinds of activites.

Andy Lilienthal has an update on how some currently registered JDM vehicles are being stripped of plates in the Northeast and what it could mean for the rest of the country.

Then we get a chance to get an update from Mercedes Lilienthal who just completed the 2021 Rebelle Rally in an EV!  This is an all female rally across the desert without GPS or cell phones for the driver/navigator team, and to do it in an EV is even more impressive.  Join us to hear more about this great automotive adventure.

In our feature segment, we have Konrad's Car Clinic as we get more info on how our automobiles work and how to take care of them.
