Nic’s day hasn’t begun well: she has stood on a squishy mouse that her cat left inside her slipper... but Liz is mainly horrified that she wears slippers from Next. Liz is remembering when she spotted her perfect house and then bought it (it was around time she went out for a curry and it turned her veneers bright green). Meanwhile, Liz’s new man has noticed that, not coincidentally, she wants to see him the day AFTER spas reopen (which has made Liz worry he might be a woman in disguise).
