  • Episode 9: The Funeral (feat. A Bunch of People)
The 2019 Boston Red Sox are dead. We said our final goodbyes.

  • Episode 8: This Is The Bad Time
The quote from "Goodfellas" says it all: it's not looking great for us.
Dave Dombrowski is no longer with the Red Sox. Was that the right call? How does that impact the team moving forward? Is Mookie staying for the long haul? Fitz and Sarah were gonna primarily discuss all that until the biggest news in baseball heading down the final stretch broke. Then we mainly spoke about that. Was it related to the Red Sox? No, not really. Was it related to another team a certain individual follows? You bet.
In between our sorrows, we also had the debut of the Timinute. Tim broke down his thoughts on the Stockings in a minute. Tim in a minute. Timinute. Geddit?
We also talked about Weezer, Green Day, and Fall Out Boy's concert for a hot second. Had some Vampire Weekend talk, too. Mainly injury talk, though.
Intro song is "Baseball" by Hippo Campus, outro song is "Fix You" by Coldplay, live from São Paulo off the "Live 2016" album. I picked a live version because it's better and I wanted to trick you into listening to some live Coldplay. Thank me later.

  • Episode 7: Mission Improbable
Fitz and Tim are wondering how Sarah's doing in Club Penguin. I think she should name one of her puffles Wily Mo. Just a thought.
The Sox are heading to Colorado after taking two of three in San Diego, but man, we really wish it was three of three. Mission Improbable is officially on: we desperately bargain what it will take for Boston to secure a Wild Card spot.
    ALSO:
-Since we missed some time between episodes, we talked about the resumed game against Kansas City, and pitch an idea to make that scenario more of a common occurrence, while also paying homage to Ten Cent Beer Night.
-The Players Weekend jerseys stunk, but the cleats were awesome across the board. If you disagree with that second point, we had something to say about a tweet on the matter.
-This edition of "Hey, Remember Him?" lead to a conversation about dinosaurs and the Bible.
-We talked about fantasy sprotz, including one of the most ridiculous baseball trades we've ever heard. Seriously, it's either blasphemy or collusion. Maybe both. Who's to say?
Intro song is "Baseball" by Hippo Campus and the outro song is "Fail Recorder: Mission Impossible Themesong" from the channel Rec0rder Mast3r on YouTube. An unconventional pick, yes, but a worthy one as well. Link to that video is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e6QZCU9rTiw

My mic kept popping this episode, also, so apologies in advance. Or apologies now as you're reading this during the episode. Or apologies after you already heard the episode. No matter when you're reading this, my bad. Subscribe, rate the podcast five (5) stars, and leave a review, and maybe I'll make sure there's less popping next time (I'll make sure there's less popping regardless, but you should also do all of the above regardless as well. Even Stevens.). I'm rambling now. I should probably just post the episode and go to bed.

  • Episode 6: Someone Had A Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Trade Deadline Day
Like a fart in the wind, the trade deadline has come and gone. The Red Sox didn't get any pitching, but a certain someone's favorite NL team most certainly did. We broke down our thoughts about the current status of Dave Dombrowski in the Boston front office, and went into the recent struggles against those pesky Rays of Tampa Bay. We've also introduced a new segment: "Hey, Remember Him?" Basically, we talk about old Red Sox players and say "Hey, remember him?" It led to some very interesting and unexpected tangents, which are the best kinds, no?
Intro song is "Baseball" by Hippo Campus and the outro song--which no one guessed--is "Something Happened on the Way to Heaven" by Phil Collins. I (Fitz) am on a massive Phil kick today, I don't know what's gotten into me.
Follow all of us on Twitter for Correct and Good Twitter takes: @FitzyMoPena, @skg_18, and @timdurgin9. One of us three will be doing the soon-to-come official Pod On Lansdowne Twitter. We won't tell you who but after a lil' while you should be able to guess.

Cons of the first half: Not X, Devers, Price

All-Star Game and Home Run Derby: nothing compared to the spectacle that is the All-Star Celebrity Game
The Miz and Daddy Yankee: bad at pitching

  • Episode 4: Get A Closer, Bruv (feat. Fitzy's Mom)
The Pod On Lansdowne is back, and so are the Red Sox's struggles with the bullpen! After a tough loss to the (White) Sox, Sarah, Tim, and Fitz discuss what the (Red) Sox can do with their late game pitching options moving forward.
Mookie and J.D. are All-Star finalists; that's cool! Xander still isn't, that's not cool! Sarah was in California for a Dodgers game, and the Red Sox are on their way to London to face off against the Yankees, which is proper bonkers bruv innit? We also had a special guest stop by towards the end to flame a very special someone. All that and more on this week's Pod On Lansdowne!
Intro song is "Baseball" by Hippo Campus, outro song is "I'll Always Love My Mama" by The Intruders.
Follow @FitzyMoPena, @Timdurgin9, and @skg_18 on Twitter! Or don't. I mean, it'd be cool if you did, but we're not gonna force you to as much as we'd like you to. Your call in the end really.

  • Episode 3: Wait, Xander Isn't An All-Star????
That's just what Al Gore's Internets have been tellin' us, folks. The MLB All-Star Game voting is a joke and it's at the expense of our beloved shortstop.
But, the team's doing really well! Fitz and Tim talk about the current wave the Red Sox are riding. The lineup's hittin', the pitchers are pitchin', good times have been had by all.
That and more on this week's first of two (2) episodes!
Intro song is "Baseball" by Hippo Campus, outro song is "Let It Dive" by ...And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead (shoutout @FightMass on Twitter for the suggestion).
Follow @FitzyMoPena, @Timdurgin9, and @skg_18 on Twitter too while you're at it!

  • Episode 2: Respect My Driveway
Our lovely podcast team grows to three (3) as Sarah joins up for episode two (2). She tells her story of heading to NYC for the Red Sox-Yankees series, and the fallout of the game one (1) rainout. It's an instant classic, folks; zero (0 people should miss it.
BUT FIRST: The Yankees didn't sweep us, that was nice! Rafael Devers and Michael Chavis won awards for their performance in May, that was also nice! Mookie Betts is the new leadoff guy, and the Red Sox drafted an absolute Cannon. That, and much more.
Intro song is "Baseball" by Hippo Campus, outro song is "Respect" by Arthea Franklin, may she Rest In Peace.

  • Episode 1: The First One
Fitz and Tim (sans Sarah) present the Pod on Lansdowne, a Red Sox podcast by way of Red Sox Twitter. We're starting this bad boy in late May, which means we've missed quite a bit. We certainly didn't miss blowing leads, which Boston did against Cleveland this week. Is Andrew Benintendi doomed as a lead-off hitter? Is Rafael Devers the best player of all-time? How do the Yankees look heading into this weekend? Will Fitz cry during Rickey Henderson's Toy Story 4 cameo? Find out on the inaugural episode of the Pod on Lansdowne.
Follow Tim (@timdurgin9), Fitz (@FitzyMoPena), and our soon-to-be-third-host Sarah (@skg_18) on Twitter!
Intro song is "Baseball" by Hippo Campus, outro song is "A Walk To Remember" by Vulfpeck.
