WHO IS COLONEL STEPHEN PRATHER?
Meet Colonel Stephen Prather, a self-styled explorer of the arcane and the improbable, broadcasting nightly from disclosed and undisclosed locations across the globe. Armed with an uncanny mix of wit, eccentricity, and relentless curiosity, Prather serves as the enigmatic anchor of Beyond the Near Horizon, a long-running radio program steeped in the paranormal, the conspiratorial, and the just plain weird.  Prather and a menagerie of guests navigate the margins of reality with equal parts skepticism and wonder, always ready to challenge the forces that blur the line between the mundane and the extraordinary.

THE MAYAN APOCALYPSE EPISODE
Commercial real-estate, ancient calendars, abandoned government installations and portable toilets swirl together in a tale of paranormal chaos. As the enigmatic Colonel Stephen Prather broadcasts live from Christmas Island on the eve of the prophesied Mayan apocalypse, the stakes couldn't be higher-or stranger.
With his eclectic team of experts, including the pragmatic Linda Prince Pine, the disgraced yet sincere Pastor Tamor Fawnferrier, and the ever-dramatic author and epicurean Enoch Price, Prather navigates a labyrinth of conspiracies, forgotten technologies, and the plush leather seats of impending doom.
