In this episode, we speak to Srin Madipalli, Co-founder of Accomable, an accessible travel startup. Accomable was acquired by Airbnb in 2017 and Srin went on to work as Head of Accessibility (Homes) / Product Manager at Airbnb. Srin was formerly a corporate lawyer, and his innovation journey is fascinating. In this episode we speak to Srin about the changes and adaptations he made from working in a small start-up, to then leading a team at one of the largest tech companies in the world.

This week, we chat with Liz Johnson. Liz won three gold medals at the Paralympic Games in 2016 and since then has become the co-founder of The Ability People and Podium. Both of which focus on ensuring disabled people are employed in meaningful, longterm employment. Liz is also an ELIEZ member.

This week, we're talking to Gavin Poole, CEO of Here East. Gavin set up Here East with Andrew Roughan, Managing Director of Plexal. Here East was the very spot where 20,000 journalists during the Olympics and Paralympics came together in the Broadcast centre to celebrate the wins of Mo Farah and Jess Ennis. It was a time when the greatest show on Earth rolled into east London.
Since the Games, London has been reincarnated as a bustling tech and innovation base, known as Here East. Around 3000 people are based at Here East, working for a range of players from multinationals such as Ford, BT Sport, Loughborough University London and UCL. We speak to Gavin on how he bought this vision to life and the role it plays in building upon the Paralympic legacy.

This week, we speak with ELIEZ member Dom Hyams. Dom featured in a Channel 4 documentary, Crip on a Trip when he was just 18, and since then has had a varied career working in marketing including working for Sunset+Vine during the Paralympic games and afterwards and on the app Assist.Me. In 2020, Dom founded Tiny Man Digital, a digital marketing agency.

In this episode, we speak to Victoria Austin from the Global Disability Innovation Hub - also known as the GDI Hub. Victoria co-founded GDI with Cathy Holloway and Iain McKinnon in 2016 and leads the CIC team as well as the research theme around Capacity and Participation.
Previously Head of London 2012 Paralympic Legacy for the Mayor of London, Victoria has over 20 years experience of working on disability and social justice on major international projects.
