: Representation matters on all types of stages, but the one Ingrid dances on requires  a surprising trick or two and urgency in her motion.  𝙶𝚎𝚝 𝚃𝚘 𝙺𝚗𝚘𝚠 𝙸𝚗𝚐𝚛𝚒𝚍: She was born in Rio de Janerio, Brazil. Ingrid started ballet through a community out-reach program, then trained at Dançando Para Não Dançar. Now she currently performs with the Dance Theatre of Harlem in New York City.

Ama was the first African-American student body president at the University of Connecticut. Post grad she took a year off and now 𝑺𝑯𝑬 𝑰𝑺 𝑩𝑨𝑪𝑲 𝑩𝑨𝑩𝒀 at the University of George Washington pursuing her masters in global business.

The importance of today’s conversation was, to highlight the fact that it’s OK to be on your own journey. To appreciate your journey, to appreciate your path because no one can be you. Only you can be you, try not to get overwhelmed of the life of social media. When that six month mark come in college for you ... I hope this conversation helps you take it with both hands and grab it toward you! grab your future towards you, and grab your aspirations towards you. Life will continue to change, time will continue to go and the only thing you have to do is continue to grow.
