The Lord of the church made His intentions known through the apostle Paul what must be done in the future, ongoing ministry of His church. The ministry is to be carried forward by means of the grace God supplies to empower with individual responsibility to love and be disciplined in doing their work of service. As God provides His means to accomplish His ends believers are to be faithful to His word and with His word as it is lived out and proclaimed. While suffering will come as forewarned, the ministry of the Word must continue upholding it in proclamation and practice without compromise or capitulation. The health, stability, and usefulness of the Church hinges on its faithfulness to accurately handle God's Word.

All believers are God's servants. While having diverse responsibilities corresponding to spiritual giftedness there are also common responsibility and accountability with God's word. As servants God requires His servants to be faithful to Him and to His word. In being loyal to HIs word His servants will be ready and willing to proclaim it, to defend it, and guard it against attempts to compromise in anyway. To do so is to adulterate it which dilutes its power, misrepresents and dishonors the God whose word it is.

The wisdom of the world will not contribute to the building up of the Church. Those who are building are God's servants working together being enabled by the grace God supplies. The building must be on the foundation of the truth of the person and work of Jesus Christ. Faithfulness to God's word which is the source for the truth will be a factor in the coming judgment for rewards for the work done. -This is not a judgment for sin and future punishment but a judgment for rewards or loss of rewards for each believer.-It is the quality of the work done in service to the Lord that will be evaluated not the measure of success as seen in the day. God is the one who determines the growth as He so wills.

God does not change. His Word does not change. Doctrines do not change. When there are differences in the Church those in the church must make the adjustments to what the word of God says. The word of God is not to be adjusted to fit the times, social values, or other worldly situations. Every believer has responsibility as a workman for the Lord and is to live their new life of faith in the Lord's service. In each local church the ministry is carried forward by those who make up the church and are then serving one another and serving together as the Lord so gifts, calls, and otherwise enables. For such works of service each believer will stand before the Lord to receive their reward. Faithfulness, not results or what may be seen as success or failure, will be a primary factor in the judgment of what work was done. Motivations are revealed in this writing by Paul to be highly important regarding the evaluation of works done in the Lord's service. The motivation of love compelling obedience and faithfulness to the Lord qualify works as being good by the Lord.

The resurrection of Jesus Christ is God's stamp of approval confirming that His death paid in full the penalty for sin. His resurrection is also the guarantee of the believer's resurrection culminating the salvation God has provided. The future glorification of believers will be the final and fulfilling of the salvation needed for man to live in the fullness of the relationship with God he was created for. For HIs glory God has provided mankind with the means with preparation beginning in the present life when the gospel of Jesus Christ is heard and believed. Having believed, today prepares us for tomorrow and the glory to come as God numbers our days in the now age.

The wisdom of God as revealed by the Spirit of God in the word of God exposes the foolishness of the world's way of thinking. Apart from the ministry of the Spirit of God the truth from God would not be known nor understood. The same Holy Spirit of God who inspired the word of God to be written down by the authors of the Scriptures is the same source for giving believers and understanding of the Word. The revelation of truth includes the fact of man's sin and accountability to God as well as HIs provision of the removal of the guilt of that sin and righteousness to be back into the relationship with God man was created to be in.
