Rules Changes are just one of the topics I cover with Progressive AFT, CEO Michael Lock - Indian is taking notice here, of course - but, the Series is growing and enlisting the right kind of help to ensure its long term success. That's the cool part.

Wow. That was all I could say as I finalized production of this show. 

For me, covering these racers and having the chance to talk to them in something more than a soundbite is a dream job, come true. This week, I talked with two racers from two different disciplines, both of whom can make Indian enthusiasts, proud. 

There is no other American Flat Track racer quite like Jared Mees. Gritty. Calculated. Determined. All adjectives that swirl around a family guy who just also happens to be a master at his craft. He rides motorcycles. Fast. He is this years Progressive AFT Champion.

Tyler O'Hara is back as our special guest. This guy! Wow. His is the story of a guy who's job it is to race a motorcycle. Any motorcycle. Anytime. Anywhere. He's good at it. This season, the competition on the track has reached its highest levels. In the AFT Super Twins presented by S&S, it's come down to a head to head shootout between the factory team riders - Jared Mees and Briar Bauman.

Since 2016 it's been an Indian Motorcycle Factory rider wearing the Number 1. That much won't change this year. This year, who takes the title is the storyline. It comes down to one race, winner take all, no do overs...

Behind the bikes and the riders are the teams. For Indian Motorcycle, only Gary Gray has steered the ship and so far, the results are phenomenal.  Gary and his team have created one of the most prolific race teams ever seen in American Flat Track history.

Motorcycle dealerships. Some guys of a certain age, remember when they were the haunts of crusty old scooter tramps and their faithful iron. Smelling of burnt coffee, two-stroke exhaust, stale beer and cigarettes...they bore little resemblance to the places we hang around now.

The modern Indian Motorcycle Dealership. Each has it's own claim to fame and its own personality, if you will.  They're extensions of their ownerships vision for themselves and the brand. I've visited some really great ones all across America.

It has been the most incredible, taxing, demanding and amazing experience I ever could have hoped for. In early April, with the sale of my home, I moved into a 40' RV to travel America and meet riders like you.

By late April, we were on the road, headed for the Carolinas. Stops in Charleston, SC and Charlotte, NC set the stage for the journey of a lifetime where I met hundreds of riders, traveled some incredible roads and took in the sights and sounds of life on the American highway.

This episode takes us back nearly 5 months, and for me, its an indulgence and a way to chronicle the trip and what it did for me in the best way I know how.

Plus, a very special interview with Brad "The Bullet" Baker. He wore the #6 and was one of the original members of the Indian Wrecking Crew until a crash ended his racing career. In his characteristic, non-stop fashion, Brad has become a coach, commentator and race car driver and an inspiration of a lot of guys, including myself. It was a thrill to meet him.
