Indian tribal people struggle to save Gondi language

Many of India's tribal languages face a bleak future. One such language is Gondi, spoken by nearly three million indigenous people across six central Indian states. This indigenous group is trying to reclaim their language as an identity by working on their own dictionary and a functional standard script.
The initiative is paying off. The unique language that is connected with the aspirations of the largest forest-dwelling tribal group in the country, is making headway in resurrecting itself.
