Mark Jaynes, voice of Indy 500, stirred up excitement with Coach Bob Lovell to kick off the first full hour of IST by looking ahead to Indy 500 testing starting this week on April 20. They discussed possible contenders to be on the lookout for during 2022’s Indy 500 race, and the schedule to expect heading into race season. Howard Kellman, Voice of the Indianapolis Indians, then joined Coach to talk about the Indians’ tough loss against St. Paul 16-13. He mentioned players who performed well and what to look forward to in the future for the Indians. Voice of the Butler Bulldogs Mark Minner talked with Coach about the bittersweet transition their men’s basketball team is making after the prior assistant coach, Thad Matta, has been announced as the new head coach.

Coach Bob Lovell started Indiana Sports Talk with sports anchor Eddie Garrison giving an overview of NBA and baseball action happening across the leagues. ISC Sports Network’s Greg Rakestraw joined Coach to talk about Indy’s second win in a row with their last minute, 2-1 win in the 92nd minute of the game. Coach switched gears with Greg and talked about the Colts’ General Manager Chris Ballard and the team’s upcoming future, taking their 2022 NFL Draft picks and cap space available into consideration.

Lynn Clark joined us at the top of the hour to discuss Notre Dame’s preparations for a new football season under a new head coach. Emphasizing new players and their adaptation to the college football schedule and practices. From Notre Dame to The Colts as Matt Taylor tagged in to transition the conversation to the upcoming Colts season and catch up with his broadcast partner Coach Lovell. They then discuss the divisional layout that the Colts will face and the depth of quarterbacks throughout the league. Luke Martin joins coach to give the lay of the land for the Indiana State Sycamores this season. They discussed the new coaches bringing up and the inclusion of RPO into their training.
