Tony Donohue from Burnout Sports joins the show to give his two cents on a busy weekend at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Coach Lovell begins the first full hour of the show by having a conversation with the voice of the Indy 500, Indy Car’s Mark Jaynes. Coach and Mark discuss a very busy weekend at 16th and Georgetown headlined by the GMR Grand Prix on Saturday afternoon. Then, the racing conversation continues with coach and Corbin Lingenfelter and traditions of the Indy 500 as well as some talk about the Indianapolis Colts schedule. 9:30 – 10:00 (Howard Kelman, Mark James, Indy 500)

The show started with Howard Kelman, the Indianapolis Indians play-by-play commentator joining Coach Bob Lovell to discuss the Indians performance in their double header today against the Louisville Bats. The Tribe split the two games losing their first and winning the second of the night. Kelman then gave a preview of their final game in the Bats series coming up on Sunday. After wrapping up that conversation Mark James called in and gave an in depth report on the Practices and Qualifications for the Indianapolis 500.

10:00 – 11:00 (Steve Krah, Kyle Nedenrip)

To start off the 10 o’clock hour, Steve Krah joined IST to discuss college and high school baseball throughout the state of Indiana. Krah gave the layout of several state high-school tournaments that will be starting up in the coming weeks. Kyle Nedenrip of the Indianapolis Star called into the program and went over the reclassification of the IHSAA football teams. Coach and Nedenrip specifically key in on schools north of Indianapolis like Carmel, Noblesville, and Zionsville. Zionsville will be upgraded from a 5A school to a 6A school this upcoming season. They then move on to the reclassification of high-school basketball teams. Coach and update desk host Brad Huber then discuss the upcoming Grand Prix at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

11:00 – 12:00 (Car Talk Continues, NBA Playoffs, Brendan King)

Update Desk host Brad Huber and Coach Lovell continue their talk on current and upcoming races. Huber gives a detailed account of the standings in the Xfinity series. Coach and Brad then start to discuss the current NBA playoff picture and what teams will be advancing to the Conference Finals. Lastly, long time friend of the show Brendan King called in to catch up with coach and deliver an update on how his South Bend Cubs performed in their double-header tonight. Coach then brought up the length of baseball games and sought King’s opinion on how to keep a game entertaining while not worrying about its length.
