Welcome to the first episode of Indie Comic Spotlight. Each week Tony Farina of DC Comics News will be joined by other comic aficionados to do a deep dive into a series or standalone graphic novel from any publisher other than the big two.

On the pilot episode of Indie Comic Spotlight, Tony welcomes Chris and Dave of Comics in Motion. In this episode, they tackle the painfully, beautiful Image Comics masterpiece, I Kill Giants.

I Kill Giants, was written by Joe Kelly and drawn by JM Ken Niimura, is a 7 part miniseries that first appeared on July 1st, 2008. It went on to win the IGN Best indie comic of 2008, was voted one of the 10 Best Comics of 2009 by New York Magazine, a Young Adult Library Association 2010 Top Ten Great Graphic Novel for Teens, and won the Gold Award at the 5th International Manga Award I 2012.
