For over a decade now, Christchurch band 'Yumi Zouma' have been crafting very cool dream-pop, channeling classic UK indie influences as well as some from their 'Flying Nun Records' homeland. January 2026 sees the release of their 5th album 'No Love Lost To Kindness'. Since forever, Yumi Zouma have been scattered all over the globe. Vocalist Christie Simpson calls Melbourne home these days and she chats with Scott from 'Everyone Deserves Music' on Indigo FM about the band in general, their members separateness from each other, their forthcoming album and touring plans for 2026. No Love Lost To Kindness' releases 30 January 2026

This show features several tracks from the gorgeous debut album 'Everything You Gave Me' by Sydney dream pop duo 'Sunscreen'. We kick off with The Stamps timely cover of The Stone Roses 'She Bangs The Drums', followed by new tracks from emerging bands like Melb based artists Total Care, Telenova, Nick Keogh and sleepazoid plus from ACT Vanishing Sound. Yet another very cool track from Georgia Knight's stunning debut album 'Beanpole'. Part 2 of my interview with Yumi Zouma vocalist Christie Simpson, new (and old) from Seattle's Fleet Foxes and also Stockholm duo First Aid Kit. Blossom Rot Records 5 Year Birthday winds up this weekend which is an opportunity to drag out a couple of sublime Snowy Band tracks from 2021. There's a pair of Weddings Parties Anything tracks from 1989. What else? For AusMusic T-shirt Day (Thursday past), I wore a long sleeve Moreton. I close this show with their 2019 duet about the essence of love with James Vincent McMorrow.
