He quickly built offices in 10 US cities and 7 in India and is projecting more to come each year. He recently opened a Houston and a Nashville office. He joined us by Zoom to talk about his company and philanthropic pursuits.

5:00 pm The Youth Leadership Development Program has been mentoring graduating high schoolers in their senior year to expand their horizons when selecting future goals and career paths. Over the past 15 years, a few hundred teenagers have graduated from the YLDP with a view of commerce, politics and ethics that they would not have been able to experience on their own. President Minal Vradharajan and VP Anu Kulkarni explain how the program works.

5:20 pm Harris County Pct 2 Commissioner Adrian Garcia has been a friend of the South Asian community since his days on Houston City Council, then as County Sheriff and now in his current position. He joins us to talk about key issues at the Commissioners Court that affect the entire county.

4:20 pm The Mayor of Houston has led an Iftar dinner - or breaking of fast during Ramadan - for the city’s Muslim community since the event was first conceived 12 years ago in 2010 by then Mayor Lee Brown. And for almost all those years, Muhammad Saeed Sheikh has held the formidable task of being the event coordinator. Now, after a two year hiatus where the event due to COVID was done by drive-thru, the Iftar was held live once again at The Bayou Center Music Center. Saeed Sheik joins us to talk about the rejuvenated event.

4:40 pm Vaisakhi is a happy festival for Hindus and Sikhs alike heralding the coming of the Spring harvest. For Sikhs it holds a deeper significance as in 1699, it was also the formation of the Khalsa by the Tenth Guru Gobind Singh. We are joined today by a very talented 17-year-old high school junior Gracy Kaur Singh who will describe how Vaisakhi is celebrated by the community at the Sikh National Center.

5:00 pm In our regular monthly segment on immigration matters, we are joined once again by eminent Attorney George Willy who will discuss the importance of filing in certain categories that could speed up the process of getting a Green Card.

4:20 pm Sixth grader Vatsal Sharda is a Lego and Robotics enthusiast has reached the FIrst Lego League World Championships to be held next month in H-Town. Vatsal goes to West Briar Middle School. At age 5 he had built his own remote controlled car and by 7, he had built a 2.5 ft talk walking robot. He joins us in the studio with his parents to talk about his skills at building robots.

5:00 pm As Harris County District Attorney since 2016, Kim Ogg has made major improvements in the fight against all aspects of crime. She recently attended the four-day World Police Summit in Dubai and met with global law enforcement professionals to share their experiences, including those from India. She joins us today to talk about the Summit and other issues pertinent to Houston.

5:40 pm He has been called “A Aman of a Thousand Faces” for the varied characters he has played in theater and movies. Now, Houston’s own writer, actor, director and producer Bud Patel has released a new short film called “Dilemma”. It is the story about a situation in which undesirable and difficult choices have to be made, neither of which is unambiguously acceptable. Bud joins us today to talk about the movie.
