In this episode I ramble on about my drinking problem that has been with me since my high school days but didn't really prove itslef to be a problem until my 30's and it was late in the game and affected my life, my social life, and my kids life. Listen in to how it affected my life and how I have come out of this fog a better man, a better husband, a better thinker, a better father, and still a work in progress. As a sober man I have the ability to think clearly and my life has so much more meaning and developing to do. We all have the ability to follow our dreams if we can get out of our own way. My lonliness and self loathing through alcohol were inhibiting from being my best self and being anything to anyone. As my life now moves forward I have the ability to be empathetic and gracious and feel like I have the ability to help and enable others to really follow their dreams and set goals. It is so difficult to step away from alcohol because it is such an accepted social construct for every celebration, game day, holiday, and any other reason. But it can be so damaging to you, your health, and your family. Be the person that you have always wanted to be and have the ability to dream as big as you can. Be industrious, thanks for listening.
If you or anyone you know is suffering or struggling with alcohol please reach out and start a discussion. There is no judgment and nothing to be ashamed of because we have both been there and struggled with our own issues so we may be a listening ear or a good piece of advice. Reach out and just ask.......Other than that we will talk next week form New Zealand, have a great week
