This week the crew revisits the idea of lengthy games and bloat vs story content. Are games too long? Is there too much BS on the map? Let's chat. In the news: Is Ubisoft remaking Assassin's Creed Black Flag? And what does that mean for Skull and Bones? Ark: Survival Ascended is delayed again. Is anyone shocked? Square Enix might remaster some of its older titles. Nic Cage is almost live in Dead by Daylight! And Bloober Team said they're "closing the ear" of psychological horror... but they're still working on Silent Hill 2. What's the deal with that?! This week Grif fell into Dragon's Dogma. Chicken wanted everyone to try out a dino shooter demo but the time ran out. And Oak is doin' Oak things. In the news: The FTC hearings for the Microsoft-Acti/Blizz merger have started! What bombshells are being dropping in court this week? Will MS actually get to buy the company? This week EVERYONE is stuck on Valhiem and how to best farm all the much needed resources. It's the new addiction it seems. In the news: Amazon is making an attempt at a Lord of the Rings MMO. It'll be under the control of the same devs that made New World for them. China and the European Commission approve the Microsoft acquisition of ActiBlizz. BlizzCon's coming back this year but will they get the response they hope for at the event after upsetting fans by ditching the PvE mode for Overwatch 2? (Yes, the mode that they said they had to remake the whole game around, that one.) The Five Nights at Freddy's movie has a teaser. And Nicolas Cage will be a character in Dead by Daylight because he's just that awesome. All this and more on this week's Infinite Respawn Podcast!

This week Grif unintentionally starts a LONG convo about what games would best benefit from a remake or a reboot. Lots of fun to think about what everyone would like to see get the makeover treatment. In the news: The UK doesn't like the ActiBlizz/Microsoft deal. People don't think the Switch can run CoD. Is that really the point though? Steam's beta testers are seeing a rework of the UI. And the new Star Wars game is struggling with several issues. This week Chicken and Grif are trying out Valheim, Baka seems interested. Chicken also finished Resident Evil 4 and he is PUMPED to talk about it. Speaking of RE4, there are now microtransactions. People are kind of divided on how to feel about it. Oak is checking out Loop Hero. Is it everything he wanted? In the news: ARK 2 is delayed. Shocking, right? And Wildcard had some really out there ideas on how to sell it while also making old school fans angry. Perfect! Dark & Darker is still available... sort of. Will that hurt the devs when their case goes to court? And the Super Mario Bros movie is making tons of cash proving it's not impossible to make a successful video game movie! This week Chicken and Baka have been trying out the Diablo 4 beta. Is it worth the hype? Chicken is IN LOVE with the Resident Evil 4 remake. Turns out it's good! Oak and Grif have been playing, well not a lot really. Good thing Chicken and Baka can carry this week's show! In the news: RE4 is off to a great start on Steam. Valve announced Counter Strike 2 and a cool anti-cheat system to go with it. Dark and Darker is taken down after Ironmace got a cease and desist letter. The CMA says Microsoft's acquisition of ActiBliz isn't going to kneecap Sony. And then MS had to assure folks they weren't pulling games from PS5 after a recent detail about Bethesda's Redfall came out. And can turtles also be, well, ninjas? How about Ronin? A God of War style Ninja Turtles game? Is Baka dreaming?! All this and more on this week's Infinite Respawn Podcast!
