Super heroes. In this pandemic, doctors and nurses are our super heroes. But they have always been our super heroes, isn’t it? When I witnessed the doctors and nurses running to the front line, exhausted, catching up on sleep during their short breaks, I was so touched. And I wonder, would I have the courage to be in the front line? The answer is I am scared! Then I saw an interview with one of the nurses, she’s in her early 20s, and she was crying as she said this, “Yes, I am scared. But when I am in the protective suit, I have the responsibility.”
It is not that we are not scared, but our responsibilities will take the lead. All the comic super heroes we know of also had fears and it was the responsibility that pushed them forward.
Today, let’s salute to the real life super heroes, our front line doctors and nurses who are fighting for people’s lives. Let’s do our part by staying home and staying healthy.
We are all super heroes in one way or another. That’s what today’s episode is about. You’ll hear an interview I did on The Hero Show where I talked about how I felt about being a reluctant hero.
