NaNoWriMo, or National Novel Writing Month was a writing challenge that started in 1999. The challenge? Write an entire novel (50,000 words) in one month. This idea went on to become a non profit to try to help, promote and encourage people to write. So what happened and why doesn't it exist anymore?
