Then some big news as incarcerated Sacky Shanghala and Bernard Esau are finally booted from the SWAPO Party leadership structures. This however is dwarfed by the resignation of Defence Minister Peter Vilho after his meeting with President Geingob and Vice President Mbumba yesterday. This makes Vilho the 4th Minister to resign under a cloud of fraud and/or corruption allegations during Geingob's tenure.

Then we turn to current affairs as pressure on Defence Minister Peter Vilho over corruption allegations intensifies. Vilho is set to meet with President Geingob imminently, the crew tries to look into the crystal ball. Although unrelated, this ultimately leads us down the #Fishrot path and the crew argue the independence of the Judiciary, with the highest judges in the country being political appointees.

Merja makes her long awaited return to the show, and we discuss some discrepancies with COVID-19 testing in the country, with many reports of false positives coming from PathCare. We also discuss frontline workers in detail after a video of 3 Oshiwambo speaking nurses seemingly manhandling an elderly lady in an effort to force her to take some medication. One of the nurses is filmed hitting the elderly patient, causing some serious outrage from the public. And a special congratulations to Rosalia Shiimi, the winner of our Easter Hamper from the previous day's competition.

Tina from Marketing makes a cameo appearance as the Easter Bunny to present the awesome hamper we give away at the end of the show, causing quite the commotion in the comments section. There was also time for some reflection on the news of the day, with the 'struggle kids' making the front pages once again, this time after a meeting with President Geingob.

Shines joins the crew later in the show to track the news of the day, with particular interest in a hollywood-like incident that unfolded in Eenhana over the weekend.

Merja is out for a while so Shines fills the seat between Neville and Q-Base. Its an odd show, not slow per say, yet it never really gets going. We go through all shades of blue this Monday morning as we touch on some football results from the weekend, with Namibia bagging a win at the Dr. Sam Nuyoma Stadium thanks to 2 goals from Peter Shalulile. We also discuss rental rates in Namibia, particularly when it come to accommodation. This arises in the wake of reporting of MICT Minister Peya Mushelenga suing his alleged girlfriend for over half a million in rental income which she never paid offer to him.

The Friday gets underway with a discussion on WWE wrestling, and this leads to a broader discussion on the use of performance enhancing drugs in professional sports. The crew, surprise surprise, unanimously come to the defense of government in the purchase of 2 farms from a company owned by the prime minister and her husband. And its 2 for 2, as the crew also criticize former prime minister Nahas Angula for only vocalizing his displeasure with the conduct of SWAPO officials only now that he is no longer a part of the apparatus.

For the first time in a long time, we never even touch the newspapers this morning. After the COVID-19 update and a brief look at the markets, Merja leads the crew down the path of homophobia, inspired by the controversy surrounding the Ministry of Home Affairs, or as we quickly learn in the comments, now being 'referred' to as the Ministry of Homophobic Affairs. This discussion takes place as protests in front of the said ministry begin. There is a lengthy discussion on LGBTQ+ rights and gender relation in our society. And then somehow things take a weird twist into PG territory, and we end up discussing the various tribes in Namibia as it relates to relationships.

We start the morning's discussion with a COVID-19 update, plus we reflect on what has been a slow vaccination campaign thus far, although it is still early days. The crew also reacts to reporting of Cabinet and the Trans Namib Board being at loggerheads, plus the Health Ministry raises eyebrows over a recently concluded internal probe into the irregular procurement of unlicensed drugs, from an unlicensed manufacturer. And then, there's Vice President Nangolo Mbumba's speech at the funeral of Tanzania's President, the late John Magufuli.

It seems even the studio equipment also had a long weekend as the show is marred by technical issues in the beginning. We quickly get it sorted and move on to the daily COVID-19 Update, football results from the weekend, with Arsenal, Manchester United, Barcelona and Juventus offering the biggest talking points. Then we get to the biggest news of the day, a gay couple struggling to bring their twin daughters, born to a surrogate mother in South Africa, into Namibia. This leads us to discuss the complications surrounding same-sex unions in general, and surrogacy in particular, with Namibian laws being rather vague on the latter.
