Gwan Big Up Ya self!! On the eve (almost) of Gullah Festival on my amazing island of St. Helena, I dive a bit into the history and the history of my Gran-ditty (how I say it haha)!!

The Gullah people have been in Americas back yard for many moons. A fabulous mix of Caribbean  and creole elements along with African roots, Gullah people arrived in the late 1500s and were instrumental in the development of many southern comfort foods, music, and story telling. Currently only 10% of the people still claim ties. 

While sipping on Smirnoff Ice "Screwdriver" by way of my Drink Plug, I infuse the vibe with Gullah Gullah island by Dear Silas. With some of my journey I loop in a special snippet from none other than, Josephus Major. Someone who you will see hopefully soon in book stores with his joke books haha.

This is dedicated to him and published with love. Hope you like the cast granddaddy =)

Drake dropped Certified Lover Boy, the highly anticipated studio album September 3rd, and you know we stayed up (sike) to hear it. We actually fell asleep so, my bad Drake!

On this weeks cast I sat down with two of my (sisters) besties and we discussed our natural hair journey. It has been a long road but we wouldn't change a thing about it! From the highs and lows and the wonderful versatility, natural hair is amazing!

About two weeks ago I, "The Hero", sat down with Dion, "The Voice" and we chopped it up* about basketball with a sprinkle of trash talk. Little did we know our random conversation on predicting who we were going for in the NBA finals, would come true. I'd like to think the Basketball Spirits heard us and said "oh, let's shake it up a bit."

Mind you, we knew Ben Simmons was trash before he let his team down...so I guess we are really good analysts
