  • Ep. 4 AL RISTORANTE: Sai scegliere un buon ristorante?
Sapresti scegliere un buon ristorante all'estero?😊

Io ti do qualche suggerimento, ma nel frattempo tu praticherai la tua competenza di LISTENING (ascolto) andando poi a rispondere a qualche domanda a termine della lezione.
    Che te ne pare?😉
Due piccioni con una fava! Che in inglese si dice "two birds with one stone".

Il testo che leggerò lo trovi qui di seguito:

When you travel to a new country, you will often want to try the local food. But how do you choose the right restaurant? Here are some tips to help you decide.
    • Ask Locals: One of the best ways to find a good restaurant is to ask the locals. They know where the tasty food is! You can ask people on the street or the staff at your hotel.
    • Read Reviews: Look online for reviews of restaurants in the area. Many websites and apps, like TripAdvisor or Yelp, have reviews from other travelers. They can tell you if a restaurant is good or not.
    • Menu: Before you go inside a restaurant, check the menu. If you like what you see, it's a good sign. If the menu is in a language you don't understand, you can use pictures or ask for recommendations.
    • Cleanliness: When you arrive at a restaurant, check if it's clean. A clean restaurant is usually a safe choice. Look at the tables and the kitchen area.
    • Follow the Crowd: If you see a restaurant that is busy with local people, it's usually a good sign. Locals know where to find delicious food!
    Le domande sono le seguenti:

  • Ep.3 AL RISTORANTE: Si parla e questa volta ordini tu!
Segui la conversazione con questa traccia:

    Customer: Good evening.

Waiter: Good evening! Welcome to The Riverside Bistro. My name is Daniel, and I'll be taking care of you tonight. How can I assist you?

Customer: Thank you, Daniel. I'm quite hungry. What would you recommend for an appetizer?

Waiter: Our house specialty is the shrimp cocktail, which is always a hit. It's served with a zesty cocktail sauce and a hint of lemon. Would you like to try that?

Customer: That sounds delightful. I'll have the shrimp cocktail, please. And for the main course, what do you suggest?

Waiter: The grilled salmon with a dill butter sauce is a popular choice, and it's accompanied by mashed potatoes. Is that something you'd be interested in?

Customer: Grilled salmon sounds perfect. I'll have that. But, can I substitute the mashed potatoes with a garden salad?

Waiter: Of course, we can do that. How would you like your salmon cooked - rare, medium, or well-done?

Customer: I'll go with medium, please.

Waiter: Great choice. And to drink, may I recommend a glass of our house Chardonnay with the salmon?

Customer: That sounds lovely. I'll have a glass of Chardonnay.

Waiter: Excellent. Anything else I can get for you this evening?

Customer: Not for now, but I might want to see the dessert menu later.

Waiter: Certainly. Enjoy your appetizer and salmon, and I'll be back with your Chardonnay shortly. If you have any questions or need anything else, don't hesitate to let me know.

Customer: Thank you, Daniel. I appreciate your help.

    Waiter: My pleasure. Bon appétit!
