I love being a black woman and I love seeing us in our element. This piece is a reflection of how proud I am of us and how I see us lift ourselves up. We're beautiful, soft, smart, passionate, vulnerable, strong and everything under the rainbow. Each one of us brings something special and different to this world and I am so proud to be a part of this tribe of women.
I am so thankful to all the women who shared their videos and voices to this project of love in the mist of all that's going on during the pandemic.
Black women, I love you, I love us, I love me.

This is different from my norm but I had to do it. I am personally obsessed with Love Island USA (JALEB FOREVER) and wanted to talk with another black woman about it. I follow Kadija's videos and she's the best. She's very insightful and lots of fun. We talk about everything and breakdown how it pertains to real life situations concerning love and relationships. Don't get it twisted I can be a little petty but I'm human. I would say it's all in fun but I be low key serious.

I have been wanting to do this interview with Shabree since I saw her video protesting around four months ago. She is a gem of a woman to say the least. Her interview gives us insight into how her one-woman protest came to be, what her experience has been like in an interracial marriage and assumptions people have made about her.
