  • Episode #183: Jane Finette - How to Become Unlocked
    Meet Jane Finette
Jane is the Founder and Executive Director of The Coaching Fellowship, a nonprofit organization dedicated to the development of young women leaders in social change. A leadership expert and Certified Professional Co-Active Coach (CPCC), Jane has dedicated her life to achieving equality for women — empowering them to create impact and build the world of tomorrow, today.
A 2020 Women Forward Gold Award winner from the Business Council for Peace, Jane’s passion, expertise, and two decades of experience is anchored at the intersection of technology and human potential. At her core, she empowers individuals and communities to solve the world's largest, most persistent, and perennial problems.
And recently, as COVID swept the globe, Jane found herself at home like everyone else and consumed news. She didn’t like what she saw—women leaving the workforce in droves and spikes in domestic violence—trends that continue today.
Mired in despair, she acted by writing her first book, Unlocked—How Empowered Women Empower Women.* It’s Part inspirational true stories about women who helped other women succeed, and part practical toolkit.
What I love about Jane is that she has dedicated her life to creating a world that works for everyone. She is standing up for something that should be a basic human right, equality... but it isn’t and hasn’t been for thousands of years. And despite the tremendous challenge of taking on such a deeply ingrained institutional and societal issue… Jane’s message is one of hope. She brings the tremendously rare combination of passion, kindness and wisdom to her work.
Spend even a little bit of time in her presence and you will not be reminded of the truth of who you really are, but empowered to live that truth to create the life and the world you have always dreamed of.

  • Episode #175: Kim Shernoff - Selling With Service
    Highlights:
    [5:00] Comfort and success
[17:21] How to be good enough
    [32:30] Service and sales

    Meet Kim Shernoff:
Kim is a Sales Mindset Coach. For almost two decades, she was a Director of Sales in the Human Capital Management space for Kenexa, an IBM Company –
Now, she works with small business owners of all sizes, who are experts in their field but uncomfortable in sales- Unlock Their Sales Mindset.
Kim is someone who at a young age figured out her passion was helping people feel good about themselves and the work they do.
This comes from her experiences of feeling like she was sitting on the sidelines of life.
For her, it started at an early age knowing she was "different" from others. It began with the birthmark on her leg and then told in 2nd grade since dyslexic, that graduating High School should be her crowning achievement.  She also found herself being made fun of and called fat for being overweight and faced other personal hurdles.
Once Kim changed her mindset and put in extra work, she graduated with honors, got an accelerated MBA, and taught college at 24.  She lost 65lbs on her own and has managed to keep it off for over 20  years.
She went on to be the top producer on her male-dominated sales team for over 13 years.
She realized her personal mindset work is what propelled her forward in sales and in life. She now combines that same winning strategy to help small business owners.
She is a certified Health and Wellness Coach and was recently named a Sellizer top 100 sales influencers for 2022.
What I love about Kim is that she is the epitome of creating her life, in spite, of what the outside world said. So often in life we are confronted by someone else’s opinion, a cruel or unkind comment that if we buy into, can not only hold us back, but can ultimately have us give up on our dreams. In order for any of us to be a true success and create the life we have dreamed of, we must learn how to source the belief in ourselves... from ourselves. And when we do learn to do that... well, there is literally nothing we cannot do.
Today we are going to not only hear a little more about Kim’s amazing story but also dive into some of the secrets she’s learned along the way.
So regardless of whether you want to fortify your mindset, improve your ability to sell, or are up for completely redesigning your entire life… this is the episode for you.

  • Episode #174: Jenny Wright - A Migrants Guide to The Galaxy
    Meet Jenny Wright:
Jenny Wright (she/her) left her hard-won Vice President title and toxic work environment in corporate America behind, pivoting back into philanthropy and international development without any regrets. She has relied on her project management, research and communications roots to dedicate over a decade of her career to consult for non-profits and international organizations worldwide.
When not running her own consulting firm (Nomad Consulting), Jenny has managed 5 research projects for the United Nations in 3 countries, and has been published by the International Organization for Migration as well as in the International Studies Journal.
Having globetrotted around half the world (and living in her 9th country), Jenny is used to thinking on her feet, eating questionable food and living out of a suitcase. Directing her knack for writing to social media, she gained over 40K LinkedIn followers in a year and is in the process of launching her own blog (A Migrant’s Guide) to share hers and other migrants’ experiences of moving and living abroad.
Feeding her insatiable appetite for new challenges, she’s also flipped 3 "fixer uppers" since 2018 – the first of which was featured on HGTV – and is working on her 4th.  In her own words, Her almost endless amounts of energy comes from a strict diet of 2/3 caffeine and ⅓ sugar with a pinch of ADHD. She’s currently based in Tunisia with her two dogs, and a clowder of street kittens that came with the place.
What I love about Jenny is that she is doing, actually doing what so many of us have on our bucket list. Traveling the world, doing deeply meaningful work with and for people who really need the support and having the kinds of adventures that most of us only dream about.
Jenny is living proof that we can create the life we want NOW, not 10 years from now, not when we retire, but right now. And today we are going to hear a little more about her story and some of the secrets she’s learned along the way so that you too, can make your life the true adventure you’ve always dreamed it could be...starting today.
