  • Episode #163: Sandra Daniele: Wish on Wildflowers
    Highlights:
    [5:40] What if...
[17:45] This is who you are
[33:28] The reason behind your feelings

    Meet Sandra Daniele:
Ten years ago, Sandra decided it was time to take her life back and has been on a personal journey to live in true alignment with her beliefs, values, and sense of self ever since. The journey has been so powerful she was moved to create Wish on Wildflowers, Life Enhancement Coaching.
Wish on Wildflowers is a safe space for women to explore the dreams they hold in their heart, uncover their truths, and live without fear of judgment. With encouragement Sandra leads women to follow their curiosities, trust their choices and start living an authentic, joy-filled life.
As part of this journey, Sandra became certified as a life coach as well as having her Master’s in Business from Pepperdine University.
What I love most about Sandra is that she has truly embraced transformation. There is an art of living on the edge, where who we are today is not defined by who we were yesterday. Sandra reminds me of the alchemists of the past but instead of metal, the elements she works with are beliefs, goals, and dreams. And spending JUST a little time in her presence will have you NOT ONLY believing you can create the life you’ve always wanted, but KNOWING that you can.

    [23:28] Understanding NFTs

    Meet Steven (Zaptio) Vasilev:
Steven (Zaptio) Vasilev, CEO and Co-Founder of RTFKT Studios....RTFKT is a leader in the online marketing of luxury and digital NFT goods.
If you don’t know what NFT’s are, stay with me.
Just to give you an example of Steven’s company,  earlier this year, working with an elite NFT artist Fewocious, they sold over $3 million dollars worth of shoes, in less than 7 minutes. These are digital collections that also can be turned into real physical shoes. Again, hang in there.
Steven, is a born serial entrepreneur. He started his first drop-shipping business at the age of thirteen. In the 12 years since, he has set up 4 successful companies and raised seed capital from Angel and VC investors including A16z, Galaxy Digital and GFR Fund.
RTFKT is beyond cutting edge. They live at the intersection of gaming, fashion, and crypto.
What I love most about Steven is that he’s figured out the secret of being able to turn his passions into businesses over and over and over. Despite being very young, still in his  20’s. Steven is a living example of possibility, creativity and creating a life we truly love.
Today we are  going to hear a little bit more about his journey, just how RTFKT is disrupting multiple industries and some of the secrets he’s learned to not only turning your passions into a business but enjoying each and every day of the journey.

  • Episode #161: Mark McNally - Super Successful Nobody
    Highlights:
    [8:20] Starting your self-awareness journey
[20:30] You know nothing about relationships
    [37:10] Sleep fitness

    Meet Mark McNally:
Mark is a serial entrepreneur with a broad base of experience scaling companies from startup through multinational establishment. Mark’s first startup went public on the Nasdaq at the age of 24 reaching a ~$4 billion market cap and ranked as the 3rd most successful IPO of 1999.
A passionate product and marketing strategist, Mark is one of the original innovators in the e-commerce space, rapidly expanding online buying internationally since the 90’s. Mark’s journey has crossed 14 startups that have raised over $300 million and has seen over $5 billion in exits. These startups pioneered their days from machine learning and e-commerce to healthcare and consumer products,
What I love most about Mark is his focus on the people involved. The intersection of the VC and the start-up world often gets reduced down to the amount of money raised and the amount of money a company sold for… when in reality it’s one of vision, hard work, unifying people around a common goal… basically the truth and the real success always comes down to people. And even more inspiring is Mark’s goal to completely disrupt the traditional VC model by making VC investing opportunities available to the masses through crowdfunding.
It is a bold and revolutionary vision, and one, in my opinion, whose time has come.
Today we are going to hear a little bit about Mark’s journey, a few of the lessons he’s learned along the way and most importantly his keys to success not only in business but in LIFE as well.

  • Episode #160: James Farr - No Judgment Journalism
    Highlights:
    [9:35] Honor yourself with reflection
    [25:25] Just doing it
    [38:30] Celebrating differences

    Meet James Farr:
James is a journalist & the host of the national award-winning “The Conversation Live" a “hyper-local” talk show that focuses on social and restorative justice, inclusion, and equality. Identifying "what is at the root" of local issues, Farr's style is described as "hard-hitting" and "unflinching."
He recently received a 2021 Hometown Media Award for “Voter Education” from the Alliance for Community Media Foundation out of more than 1000 entries from around the country.

His format is often piercing and provocative. He garnered national attention with his investigative documentary about 21-year-old motorist Christopher Ballew's (Balu)’s savage beating by two Pasadena Police Officers in November 2017. Farr initiated Speak Out Pasadena and Police Community Conversations in an effort to find understanding, healing, police accountability, and oversight and then produced the critically acclaimed documentary Thorns on the Rose: Black Abuse, Corruption & the Pasadena Police.
James is a Husband, Father, Social Entrepreneur, and Guest Lecturer at Occidental College. His monthly column on Social Justice Tourism is featured on CultureHoney.com and he’ll be releasing his first book "Critical Conversation(s)" available in the Fall 2021.
What I love most about James is his ability to have real, meaningful, and often tough conversations in a way that is respectful and considerate. James is a true model of the kind of human interaction that can lead to.. not only the changing of minds but the changing of hearts.
And in a world that quite likely has never been MORE divided, he is on a mission to not only be a model of the power of conversation but to be an invitation to all of us to do the same.
How does this relate to you? Well, When it comes to creating a life you truly love, ultimately we must be able to have tough conversations in a consistent and productive way. But it doesn’t stop there, because true success must include creating a world that works for everyone. And that means we are not only aware of the issues, but we are informed, engaged and courageous enough to stand up for the rights of ALL people.

    Highlights:
    [9:50] A commitment
    [23:00] Mindful or mindless life
[37:05] How to get more time in your day

    Meet Ronen Habib:
Roni is an expert in helping leaders, educators, and parents become happier, more resilient, more connected to their purpose, and more playful. The founder of EQ Schools, he leads workshops and speaks in organizations nationally and abroad.
Early in his career, Roni struggled with the high stresses and demands of teaching, even losing touch with why he wanted to be a teacher in the first place. It was so painful that he finally discovered the power of integrating mindfulness, emotional intelligence, and positive psychology in his own life as well as in his classroom and felt called to share this new approach with the world.
In the first four years of establishing EQ Schools, Roni has taught and inspired thousands of Teachers, Principals, Superintendents, and Parents.
Prior to earning his Masters of Education and teaching credential at Harvard University, he lived in Israel and Belgium. Most importantly though, Roni has a huge heart and loves helping people.
What I love about Roni is his profound focus on human wellbeing. He has dedicated his life to providing the tools for all of us to be happier, healthier, and more in touch with the things that are truly important in life. So if you are a parent, educator, entrepreneur, a leader in your organization, or a human of any kind... this is the podcast for you.

  • Episode #158: Fred Grewe - Lessons From The Dying
    Highlights:
[6:55] Markers of a healthy soul
[19:50] Preparing for death to live
    [31:33] Lessons from the dying

    Meet Fred Grewe:
Fred is a Board-Certified Chaplain (Association of Professional Chaplains) with a Doctor of Ministry degree from the Pacific School of Religion in Berkeley and is an ordained Congregationalist minister working for Providence Hospice in Medford, Oregon.  His interest in working with the dying began in the early 1990's with the death of his best friend who succumbed to AIDS.
Grewe has written two books “What the Dying have Taught Me about Living” (Pilgrim Press, 2014), “Time to talk about Dying” (Jessica Kingsley, 2018), and several peer reviewed articles on end-of-life existential distress.
Fred is a mystery – even to himself.  He is an aging, bald, white man who believes God loves him very much and the power of this belief has helped transform a frightened, angry, little man into a more loving and considerate human being.
What I love about Fred is that he is a bright beacon of love, of kindness, of meaningful conversation, and of a loving space being delivered to people in their most vulnerable time, in their final months, days, and moments before they die.
Fred has journeyed with over 3000 people as they have shuffled off this mortal coil. And the lessons he’s learned, and the wisdom he brings is anchored deeply in the importance of living intentionally now.
There is perhaps nothing more fundamental to the human condition than the fact that we are all going to die. And perhaps the biggest gift of that fact is to live fully in the now.
Fred calls this The dying well paradox: Contemplating my death compels me to live a fully engaged life now. And living a fully engaged life now is the best preparation for my death.
So, How do we engage this wisdom to actually impact our day-to-day existence? How can we all start living more intentionally now so that we get the most out of every moment that we have?''

His most recent book The Creative Mindset brings 6 creativity skills to everyone and argues that “diversity of thought” is essential to innovation.
His articles and thought leadership on contemporary business matters have been covered by Business Week, Inc, Wired, Fortune, US News and World Report and the Wall Street Journal, to name a few.

    Meet Mike Horne:
Mike is an executive coach, author, visionary advisor, leader, and partner to those working on complex people, group, and organizational challenges. He is the author of Integrity by Design: Working and Living Authentically and the host of the podcast Authentic Change.
What I love about Mike is his dedication to the human aspect of business. All too often we feel like we have to be someone else in our business life than we are in our personal life. Or that we can’t be our whole selves but rather just a fraction of who we are. Mike is on a mission to make sure that you are living your deepest truth in all aspects of your life, and that you are not only in touch with your higher purpose, but that you have the tools you need to work and live that purpose authentically.
And according to Mike, the key to all success begins with a life designed with integrity.

    [16:45] Stacking your wins
[32:00] How to be a power couple

Jason is the co-founder, with his wife Pili, of Yarusi Holdings, a real estate investment company that has over $75M in AUM across more than 850 Multifamily Units. Jason is an avid ultra runner and workout enthusiast. By avid, I mean insane. In 2020 he ran over 2500 miles and completed the Calendar Club Challenge which included running over 500 miles in the month of April alone… which to put in perspective is the equivalent of over 18 marathons in ONE month.
Jason and his wife co-authored the book HOW TO MASTER A FIT RICH LIFE IN 15 DAYS!: Tactical Advice to Crush Your Self-Limiting Beliefs and Create Your Own Come Back Story
Jason Hosts The  Multifamily Live Podcast and The Jason and Pili Project. He is an Aspiring Ukulele  Player. And most importantly Father to three amazing kids.
What I love about Jason is that he is all in on life. He has the same 24 hours each day that the rest of us do, but somehow fits more into each day than almost anyone I’ve ever seen. But the beautiful thing is HOW he moves through his life. We’ve all had very busy days and the result is that we usually end up feeling completely wiped out and it’s not a sustainable experience at all. Jason, however, has seemingly unlocked the secrets to unlimited energy and enthusiasm that allows him to move through his life with an undeniable grace. He is the epitome of doing AND being.
