Hello Inky Thinkers!
Welcome to the seventh episode of the Inky Thoughts Podcast
In this episode, I take a deep dive into a topic that is often on many people´s minds, within the world of tattoos and especially the tattoo industry. The impact of social media on tattooing.
I am of course not doing this alone! I have had the great honour of being joined by Delphine Noiztoy who, ironically, went viral with a post she made on the topic, and how it can cause burnout among other things.
Indeed social media has brought some good with it, as we also get into during this episode. But it is important to be critical of it and for all the good it may have brought, it has also brought an onslaught of new demands and roles that tattoo artists need to take on.
We get into it all throughout this episode and get deep with it. But it is of course not without laughs along the way. So, as always...
There is love, laughter, deep discussion, and something to learn!
Please enjoy and share with your friends, family, pets, and anyone else into tattoos!

Hello Inky Thinkers!
Welcome to the sixth episode of the Inky Thoughts Podcast
In this episode I take a deep dive into a certain aspect of tattooing as a career, the traveling or you may call it guest spotting or even touring.
I will be be taking a critical look at the realities of what this aspect of tattooing entails, both the "bad" and the "good". From the difficulties managing the rules and cultures in different nations, to the incredible people you meet along the way and new skills you acquire.
I am of course not doing this myself, I am accompanied by my good friend Alicia, better known as Xia Tattoo. An incredible tattoo artist currently working out of Melbourne Australia. She knows more than most what traveling as a tattoo artist entails. She started out in her home country spain, and despite having now lived in Australia for quite some time, she has travelled extensively for her career.
There is love, laughter, deep discussion and something to learn!
Please enjoy and share with your friends, family, pets and anyone else into tattoos!

Hello Inky Thinkers!
Welcome to the fifth episode of the Inky Thoughts Podcast
In this episode I take a deep dive into Nordic tattooing or what many, perhaps mistakenly call "viking tattoos", which you will learn exactly why might not really be what they are, when enjoying this episode.
I will be discussing historical knolwedge, runelore and much more throughout this episode
I am of course not doing this myself, I am joined by fellow Dane (although he lives in the north of England currently) and incredible tattoo artist and expert on nordic tattoo lore, Isar (Peter) Oakmund, who tattoos out of his own studio Northern Black, in a place called Whitley Bay. Peter has made it his mission to educate people on nordic tattoo lore and to let you know, exactly why you are not a viking (you may have seen him on social media).
But also, why that is not exactly a bad thing.
There is love, laughter, deep discussion and something to learn!
Please enjoy and share with your friends, family, pets and anyone else into tattoos!

Hello Inky Thinkers!
Welcome to the fourth episode of the Inky Thoughts Podcast
In this episode, I dive into what it is to be a tattoo artist, beyond the craft of putting ink into someone´s skin.
From interactions with clients and other tattooers, to how you handle the fact that you are permanently altering other people´s bodies and more.
I am of course not doing this on my own, I am joined by the awesome Adam McDade, a tattooer who while learning to tattoo and during the early days of his career, completed a PhD as well. His PhD was all about the embodied experience of tattooers and what tattooing is, beyond just tattooing people.
He has gracefully shared his insights and knowledge with me and you dear Inky Thinkers, from both his own experience as a tattoo artist and his research.
There is love, laughter, deep discussion and something to learn!
Please enjoy and share with your friends, family, pets, and anyone else into tattoos!

Hello Inky Thinkers!
Welcome to the third episode of the Inky Thoughts Podcast
In this episode we take a deeper dive into what tattoos mean to a person´s sense of self and social interactions, as well as some of the lingering stigma and prejudice that academics and people working within medicine still face, for their tattoos.
I am of course not doing this on my own, I am joined by the awesome Dr. Matt Davis, better known to some within the tattoo community as "The Inked ShrinK". A man with that is not only a harvard educated psychiatrist passionate about his work, but also a tattoo collector who is passionate about advocating against tattoo stigma and to help people better understand tattooed people, in his own way.
There is love, laughter, deep discussion and something to learn!
Please enjoy and share with your friends, family, pets and anyone else into tattoos!
