Would you rather have the ability to go back in time or look into the future? ... It's a question we're sure everyone has been asked before, but why? A lot of us like to think that tomorrow is promised to us. We plan our futures and map out our goals in journals and dream boards but fail to realize that the future isn't actually real. It's merely a concept, yet it seems to be responsible for a large amount of the pressure we continue to put on ourselves in the present. Sometimes we wish we had a remote control for life but not having one is what makes the present that much more magnificent. Sooo we're super late to the back-to-school party :D ... but we still wanted to give you guys an episode on what school has been like for us now that quarantine is basically over. While we do get a bit sidetracked in this week's episode talking about Ashley's bug phobia, we mainly discuss how the people around us have changed or even stayed the same since we last saw them. For the most part, girls have become more confident in their fashion choices and boys have evidently been working on their physical appearance. There are, however, a few boys that continue to be... well, boys. We also go over the basics like our least favorite and most favorite classes as well as feeling like a freshman all over again with two new classes of students invading our home territory. From getting dress coded to feeling drained, we cover it all. Plus, a couple of quick tips/advice on how to keep track of your work this school year and remember that this too shall pass. Enjoy!!

School is finally back in session for most of us and for the class of 2022, that means it's about that time of year (college applicationsss :D) ... In this week's episode, we talk about how we've been feeling pretty drained recently. We reminisce about the days when we were involved in all the extracurriculars and had the motivation to wake up every morning and go to school without getting tired halfway through our first class. Nowadays, our stamina has decreased and hobbies we used to find fun are now bothersome or boring. Everything feels like a chore and it has even become too emotionally taxing to be in social settings for more than an hour. Plus, our current status in the college application process and how it is squeezing every last ounce of energy we have left out of us. This is a topic we hate, but we told it to cope with the pain... we're so sorry if you can relate :/

Remember when pleated skirts were a thing and everyone would pair them with those thick sweater vests even though it was like 80 degrees outside??? Yea, we remember it like it was yesterday... except it wasn't yesterday. It was almost a year ago. Time is flying and that means that trends are going in and out of style faster than you can say "thank you, next". The bottom line is we don't like how fast trends are... well, trending. In this week's episode, we recall some of the most popular fashion trends that we have been seeing lately as well as society's pattern of recycling fashion from previous decades. Scrunchies from the '80s, whale tails from the early 2000s, and even corsets from the 16th century. Plus, how social media influencers are dictating which trends people should invest in and subliminally shaming our sense of style. As I'm sure we all know by now, the twilight saga is officially on Netflix (let's hope they don't take these off like they do with everything else...). Whether you were there from the start or a recent fan with a newfound respect for the franchise, you have come to the right place. In this week's episode, we discuss all the iconic moments in the movies that have ultimately shaped pop culture/social media trends today. How twilight walked so the vampire diaries could run, jacob's irrelevance in the plot, the questionable foster family dating dynamic of the cullens, and that off-putting CGI baby that we call Renesmee. We also mention all the iconic scenes like the baseball game with alice's renowned high kick pitch as "supermassive black hole" plays in the background, the heart-wrenching fake fight in the last movie, and bella swan's confrontation with jacob as she exposes him for imprinting on her daughter. Barring the inconsistencies in the storyline like how bella even got pregnant in the first place and how she became "unconditionally and irrevocably in love" with edward after like a week of knowing him, we have grown to love twilight in all of its chaos. Having a short attention span can be rough. A lot of us are probably so impatient that we can't even be bothered to sit through a minute-long video so instead, we just keep scrolling to find something else that satisfies us. In this new age of technology, it can be quite scary to think about social media and how we are constantly overdosing on information that is presented to us right at our fingertips. It has become more evident that social media has been catering to our ever-growing impatience with an increase of short-form content such as tiktok, youtube shorts, and instagram reels. Even our dreams and goals are always instant since we can immediately imagine the end goal in our heads, but when it comes to reality, that desired result can be a bit more delayed as we can't physically skip all the steps to get there. In this week's episode, we discuss the negative effects that instant gratification has on our society as well as explore the idea of delayed gratification and how our reluctance to take this route could stem from impatience and even commitment issues. I'm sure it doesn't come as a shock to anyone that people are continuing to put celebrities and public figures on a pedestal. But why? When we do this, we are making it more and more impossible for them to show any flaws or make any mistakes so that when they finally do (because everyone does... duh) we attack them relentlessly for it. If they don't say something cookie-cutter, then it's immediately controversial. The pressure we put on our idols has gotten way out of control and in this week's episode, we bring this topic to light. We live our lives anonymously commenting on celebrities and what they choose to share but, at the same time, seem to forget that they are human beings just like the rest of us. To put it simply, celebrities and public figures are still real people with real feelings and we need to recognize that.
