In the latest episode in my containers series, I talk with my Red Hat colleague Mark Lamourine about how containers change the way we architect applications. No longer do we aggregate all of an application's services together. Rather we decompose them and encapsulate individual services within loosely coupled containers. We also talk about extending the container model across multiple hosts and orchestrating them using Kubernetes.

Packaging applications using containers is a hot trend that goes well beyond continers as just operating system virtualization. In this podcast, we discuss the benefits of a containerized operating system like Red Hat Enterprise Linux Atomic Host and touch on how it works from a technical perspective.

My colleague Mark has been doing lots of work on Docker, managing Docker across multiple hosts, and integrating Docker with other functionality such as that provided through the Pulp content repository. Mark sat down with me to talk about some of his recent experiences working with these technologies.
