Juno nominated Indigenous Country artist Desiree Dorion takes us behind the music of her latest track 'Wouldn't That Be Fun'! Fun, upbeat, and lighthearted, Desiree Dorion's "Wouldn't That Be Fun" featuring Dave Wasyliw of Doc Walker fame, is a Country/Rock blended call and response about imagining what it's like to be in the early stages of a relationship. After initially meeting at the 2019 Manitoba Country Music Awards, Desiree and Dave got together in the summer of 2021 to co-write. Yet as their three hour songwriting session progressed, it was clear to them both that this song in particular needed to be a call and response style duet, requiring a second vocalist. We also discuss the incredibly fun music video that was shot in a local laundromat, managing yourself as an independent artist and being resourceful, and much more!
