On Part 3 of INSIDE BARRY REYNOLDS, the exclusive series of interviews with legendary songwriter and rhythm guitarist BARRY REYNOLDS, host and DJ/musicologist GREG CAZ starts off with a deep dive into the end of the Compass Point years, touring the world with Marianne Faithfull throughout the late Eighties and early Nineties, and various musical collaborations and exploits throughout the subsequent years until today.
Throughout this third and final episode, Barry and Greg get into the last Compass Point Allstar sessions (with artists like John Martyn, Black Uhuru and Joe Cocker), his musical reunion with Marianne Faithfull, spending years on the road as her music director and main producer, and collaborations throughout the years with an impressive list of award-winning musicians and artists, including the legendary Baaba Maal, Bette Midler, Roberta Flack, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Antony and the Johnsons and more. Barry also discusses his recent trips to Jamaica teaching reggae for the Blackwell Foundation, working with contemporary performing talents like New York-based artist Tammy Faye Starlite, his ongoing songwriting and touring with Grace Jones, and his upcoming book project focusing on his salad days touring as a teen guitar pro in Hamburg in the early Sixties.

Barry continues to be a musical collaborator with many of the finest international artists working today, an in-demand producer, prolific songwriter, and of course, a rhythm guitar master.

On Part 1, Barry reveals his fascinating early years in Lancashire as a teenage guitar prodigy in the UK and around the early Beatles scene in Hamburg, becoming a top recording and studio musician and solo artist in early '70s London. A great raconteur and gentleman, Barry also talks about his fortuitous meeting with Marianne Faithfull in the late '70s, eventually creating the critical and commercial success Broken English and more.
Known for his iconic songwriting and guitar work with Marianne Faithfull and Grace Jones, Barry is also one of the original Compass Point Allstars, the group of international musicians that created some of rock-n-roll and reggae’s most ground-breaking ‘70s and ‘80s albums and sessions at Chris Blackwell’s studio in the Bahamas. He continues to produce, write and play with new and veteran international recording artists including Baaba Maal, Brazilian Girls, Tammy Faye Starlight and more.
