IL's Terry Foy and "Stinky" Nick Ossello got their Sunday morning off to an unusual start, but quickly right the ship as they dive into discussion of Michigan's 16-11 win over Maryland — the biggest in program history. They then typewriter back to Friday night to discuss Duke's 16-14 win over Virginia in a rainy Charlottesville, then head north to the Dome where a controversial goal ruling had *nothing* to do with the outcome of Notre Dame's 20-12 win over Syracuse. Conference play is in full effect, so the duo transitions to a pair of Friday night upsets — Utah over Jacksonville and Navy over Boston U — then set the table for the Big East, Atlantic 10 and Ivy League updates.

How can it already be April?? Another weekend with top-notch matchups, highlighted by a Top 10 Big Ten battle in Baltimore and a scintillating ACC tilt to kickoff the weekend on Friday evening. 

The guys start off as always summarizing last week’s action before getting into consequential mid-week recaps. With another bevy of intriguing games coming up, they then get right to the weekend previews.

IL's Terry Foy and Nick Ossello are so close to heaven in this episode of the Tailgate, starting with everyone's favorite podcast topic — Notre Dame's loss to Virginia, then transitioning into Dartmouth's epic OT win over Harvard that snapped its conference losing streak that dates to 2015. From there, they whip through Maryland's 13-10 victory over Penn State, Hopkins' fourth quarter surge vs. Michigan, Cornell's Sunday win over Penn, Princeton's romp over Yale and Army's boa constriction of Loyola.

Every conference is starting league play and spring is finally in the air. It’s time to take bumps, bruises and lessons learned in the non-conference season and begin the quest for that conference Automatic Qualifier.
This week’s schedule is highlighted by eight magnificent games, including an ACC game in South Bend featuring maybe the nation’s two most talented teams. Besides that monumental game we’ve all been waiting, this week also ushers in Big Ten play. We’ll welcome back “Sunday Nights on BTN” with a Top 20 matchup between a hungry No. 19 Ohio State squad and No. 6 Rutgers, comfortably settled into a familiar situation locked in the nation’s Top 10.
Rutgers head coach Brian Brecht is our guest this week, and we cover a range of topics including what the school’s first Championship Weekend appearance meant to the Scarlet Knights program, building a challenging schedule, home field advantage on the banks of the Raritan, Kyle Mullin continuing the Rutgers tradition of strong goalie play, the Big Ten commitment to lacrosse and much, much more.

It’s early March. Year 2023. And as fans of college lacrosse, we can watch almost every game! We are blessed. And oh my goodness, the games this week. Let’s get it. Six games involve IL Top 20 teams, and there are several other tantalizing matchups up and down the Saturday slate. 

One of those big games features No. 8-ranked Penn State, and Nittany Lions coach Jeff Tambroni is the guys’ guest this week. They’ll talk about Penn State’s hot start, the team leadership, the incredible influence of their two young assistant, the upcoming game against Cornell and what it means for Coach Tambroni to go back to Cornell.
