As we usually do, first we’ll look back at the big picture from last week, then look forward to the savory lineup this weekend. Dan also recounts his experience at the PLL Championship Series. 

One of those eight showcase games is Richmond vs. Virginia, and this week’s guest is Spiders head coach, Dan Chemotti. In a thoughtful discussion, Mark and Dan chat about the first quarter of the season, the SoCon glory days, the upcoming game with the top-ranked Cavaliers and what the series with Virginia has meant to the Richmond program. Dix also tells Coach Chemotti that he resembles another very famous coach.

They venture into Rutgers' similarly impressive defensive performance vs. Loyola, Maryland's limiting Princeton, Duke's meaningful victory over Penn and Carolina's explosive second quarter vs. ’Cuse. They venture into Penn State's upset of Yale, debut a new segment (Send Us Your Good Guy Stories) and end with a quick review of the PLL Championship Series.

The 2023 season heats up with six Top 20 matchups this weekend, and D-Fly and Dixie are here to prepare you for all the action. They open with some discussion about the surprisingly exciting Tuesday tilts and then circle back on some takeaways from last weekend. Next its off to previewing seven marquee games on Saturday. 

One of those key games is No. 14 Duke at No. 7 Penn, and Dan sits down for a one-on-one with Quakers head coach, Mike Murphy. In this week’s music-inspired Give & Go, Dan revisits rock bands from the 1980s, but with a twist as D-Fly tries a new game with Dix called “Overrated, Underrated or High Quality.”

Spire is a sports academy in Northeast Ohio, and it's the latest among a wave of prep schools that deliver a unique offering to aspiring lacrosse players. With world-class facilities and a variety of academic programs, they're diving into the lacrosse scene feet first. The eighth sport on campus, Spire brought in JD Harkey as head coach. A UMBC lacrosse alum turned lawyer turned MCLA national champion coach turned MIAA coach, he joined Spire last summer and this week, announced that he'd added Duke All-American and PLL Redwoods midfielder Nakeie Montgomery to his staff.
