17 years ago a group of songwriters came together to help promote the songwriting industry, focusing on the people behind the songs. They saw Nashville as the new Tin Pan Alley, Like the famous New York scene almost a hundred years ago. Now produced by the Nashville Songwriters Association International, The Tin Pan South festival features about a hundred shows in five days, spread across clubs and nightspots all over town.

The Country Music Association, is always trying to promote the industry, and keep music on the minds of everyone everywhere. This is now the third year they've donated proceeds from the annual CMA Music Festival to "Keep the Music Playing" which funds music education in Nashville's public Schools.

The Zac Brown Band plays about two hundred dates a year and have sold more than 30.000 cd's while out on the road, building thier fan base through a grass roots following...one show at a time. Still promoting their latest disc "The Foundation" the guys were in town to celebrate the success of the first single "Chicken Fried" which held the top spot on the country charts for two weeks.
