The International Bluegrass Music Association holds their 19th annual IBMA awards show at the Ryman Auditorium this year in early October. Goodlettsville is a small community just north of Nashville Tennessee, it recently held a benefit concert to raise money for a Help center. The help center will provide clothing and food as well as helping to promote education and literacy. Many artists and musicians donated their time and energy for an evening concert to support the center.

When Jeff Bates was signed to the RCA record Label in 2002 he had some great hits with Long Slow kisses and the Love Song. Unfortunately the label decided to go in a different direction, freeing Jeff up to write and perform music that really meant something to him. Now riding the success of his new single 'RiverBank' with new Label Black River Music Group, Jeff Paused for a moment of reflection about his past and future plans, where else but down by the riverbank.
