The International Bluegrass Music Association holds their 19th annual IBMA awards show at the Ryman Auditorium this year in early October. But first we headed over to the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum for the IBMA nominations and caught up with a few of the artist nominees.

Patty Loveless is set to release her nineteenth album her first new album in over three years. Although she has been a highly regarded country artist for over twenty years, taking some time off the road has been good for her and now she's ready to get back and make a big splash with "Sleepless Nights". Goodlettsville is a small community just north of Nashville Tennessee, it recently held a benefit concert to raise money for a Help center. The help center will provide clothing and food as well as helping to promote education and literacy. Many artists and musicians donated their time and energy for an evening concert to support the center.

When Jeff Bates was signed to the RCA record Label in 2002 he had some great hits with Long Slow kisses and the Love Song. Unfortunately the label decided to go in a different direction, freeing Jeff up to write and perform music that really meant something to him. Now riding the success of his new single 'RiverBank' with new Label Black River Music Group, Jeff Paused for a moment of reflection about his past and future plans, where else but down by the riverbank.
