Each day has enough trouble and stress. Jesus told us this much. However, the problem is not always the problem. Our response is. When we worry about the past, we get depressed. When we worry about the future, we get anxious. Don't just accept this. It is not healthy for your soul. It is worth the daily fight to monitor your soul and keep your emotions in check.

We have so many things in life that throw us off or drain us. Even if we’re full of God today, we must still refill tomorrow. Why? Because we leak. Today’s episode looks at the importance of daily exposure to and intake of the Word of God. Additionally, some of the main work of the Holy Spirit is to help you daily. This requires a posture of surrender, where each morning we invite him to be our comforter, guide, and help to stay full.

What Jesus did on the cross looked horrible and hopeless at the time, but God is a big picture God. When we look at Good Friday, it elevates the historical, the spiritual, and then eternal above the present, unpleasant, and temporary. Jesus took our place on that day, and it changed everything.

Today we look at two vital parts of starting your day on the right foot. The first is forgiveness. So many times, unforgiveness gunks up your soul. Get forgiveness, give forgiveness, and give yourself a break. The second is asking. Asking what? Ask God for what you’re believing for! He tells us to. Trust Him and take Him at His word. 

We’ve all had days where nothing seems to go right. The reality is that even though you can’t control what happens, you can control how you respond to it. Much of your ability to respond properly is in how you start your day. In this episode, we’ll look at how gratitude, along with several other keys, help to send your day in the right direction.
