Nursing home workers and residents have been prioritized for COVID-19 vaccinations because of how deadly the pandemic for both staff and residents. But in the first several weeks of the rollout, many workers have passed on getting the injection. The Tradeoffs team dug into vaccine hesitancy among nursing home staff—and found deep, longstanding challenges that extend well beyond the decision to take the COVID-19 shot.
