Inside The Mind Of D. Scott

It's the final episode of 2025 so let's take some time to reflect on the year that way and the evolution of what this podcast has become over the past few months.

Thank you to everyone that takes time to listen to what I have to say week after week. Without you and your support, it's just me sitting in a room talking to myself for an extended period of time.

Happy Holidays to all!

Not a whole lot of baseball stuff going on with The Yankees at the moment, there is some and that will be discussed on the show, but I thought I'd chime in on the GOAT discussion when it comes to the NBA this week.

Is it Jordan? Is it Lebron? I'd say the title of this episode gives my answer away at this point. But let's talk about the impact that Jordan had on the game when he played and how his presence is still felt many years later. If you're a LBJ fan and you listen, then open your mind and allow what I'm saying to be taken in with a common sense approach. Let your bias go and just listen.

Hope you enjoy it. And if you feel some type of way about what I said then message me and we can discuss. Keep it civil though. Anything less than that will not be taken serious.

Not a whole lot going on in the world of the Yankees right now. Nothing happened at The Winter Meetings for the team. Nothing really goin with any of the MLB teams out side of a few free agent signings.

That being said there are a few things to talk about like Jeff Kent getting into the HOF, Yankees fans being spoiled and more. Oh and the talk of a possible Jazz trade. I'll give my thoughts on what might happen with that.

Winter meetings are starting today so let's hope that The Yankees make some moves and don't just sit back and let everyone else cook. Other than that, this week I'm talking about Devin Williams signing with The Mets, Sonny Gray and his foolish comments and also Josh Reddick saying that Altuve didn't use "the system" that The Astros had in place during the 2017 season.

Thank you all for your continued support of the show. Please take a minute to share it, like it, subscribe to it, rate it and also please turn on your notifications so you know when the episodes drop.

It's the post Thanksgiving show. So let's talk about what Hal Steinbrenner had to say about The Yankees and their financial "situation". Apparently it's not fair for us to think that the team is turning a profit? Alriiighty??

I also talk about some moves that the team could make in the off-season and some possible trades that may come about.

Let's talk about some of the off season action that's already been happening for The Yankees! From Trent accepting the QO bringing him back to the Bronx for 2026 to the guys that the team is letting walk to a few of the guys that the team is holding on to for next season.

I'll talk about some possible trades that may or may not happen as well.

As I predicted, Aaron Judge won the 2025 American League MVP. It was close but at the end of the day the right person won. Let's break down what I think happened and why Judge won the award. I'll dive into the NL MVP and give some thoughts about what happened there and also compare the NL award and the AL award.

I'll also break down what MVP actually means, historically.

Overall, it's a really fun episode. Hope you enjoy it!

What Cal Raleigh did this season was absolutely amazing and historic BUT so is what Aaron Judge did. The 2nd part of that sentence seems to be forgotten and not talked about all that much. Judge was able to do something that only 2 other MLB players have ever done in the history of the game. Yet all the conversations that you hear are about Cal hitting 60 HR's as a catcher. Amazing? Yes. MVP worthy? Sure, IF Aaron Judge didn't have the season that he had.

Let's talk about it!

Let's talk some baseball!!!

Chatting about The Dodgers, The Blue Jays, The Mariners and their fans and of course The Yankees!

We'll chat about what LA and it's ownership is doing right for the team. We'll talk about The Blue Jays and their arrogance. The fact that people seem to forget that George Springer was on the Astros team that was cheating. I'll talk about Othani and his amazing performance in Game 4 of the NLCS (also his overall performance in the Post Season). Then I'll get into what Aaron Boone and Brian Cashman told us this week during their team presser. From Vople and his shoulder to Rodon and his elbow and more!
