  • Three major podcasts. Three unforgettable experiences. One polygraph examiner committed to the truth.

From Soft White Underbelly with Mark Laita to Whatever Podcast with Brian Atlas and Sit Down with Michael Franzese, David Goldberg shares the experiences behind his recent high-profile guest appearances.

But first, David addresses a serious issue: protecting children from sexual predators. Following recent arrests involving educators accused of child sexual abuse material (CSAM) offenses, he questions whether background checks are enough and explains why he advocates additional screening for professionals working with minors.

    BEHIND THE SCENES:

🎙️ Soft White Underbelly: Mark Laita unexpectedly volunteers for a professional polygraph examination. David reveals why Mark wanted the test, how it unfolded, and the results he reported.

🎙️ Whatever Podcast: David conducts polygraph examinations with female participants and refuses to compromise testing procedures for entertainment. The audience's response changes the show's approach.

🎙️ Michael Franzese: David discusses a third podcast invitation involving a host who supports polygraph testing. His newly released interview with Michael Franzese explores criminal investigations, relationships, and the justice system.

David also thanks his production team and the people who helped arrange his appearances, while inviting future guests and podcast collaborations.

  • The Cornell Seven: Drugged, Assaulted & No Accountability?

What happens when consent, intoxication, disturbing text messages, and institutional accountability collide in a sexual-assault controversy?

In this episode of Inside the Polygraph, David Goldberg examines the case that has become widely known online as the “Cornell Seven.” Drawing on his experience as a former sexual-assault investigator and expert polygraph examiner, David discusses the allegations, the reported communications between the individuals involved, and the difficult questions surrounding a person's ability to provide meaningful consent while severely intoxicated.  S2E35_CORNELL_TRANSCRIPT

David also examines the disciplinary consequences described in the case and questions whether institutions do enough when confronted with serious allegations involving their students.  S2E35_CORNELL_TRANSCRIPT

But the conversation goes beyond one case.

Why might someone who reports sexual assault delay coming forward? Why might a person initially minimize or struggle to describe what happened? And why shouldn't delayed reporting automatically be treated as proof that an allegation is false?

David discusses the shame, trauma, fear and psychological aftermath that can accompany sexual victimization—and why survivors deserve to be heard and allegations deserve to be investigated seriously.  S2E35_CORNELL_TRANSCRIPT

    ⚠️ Important Disclaimer

This episode discusses sexual-assault allegations and other sensitive subject matter that some viewers or listeners may find disturbing.

  • Inside the Caleb Flynn Trial: Affair, Obsession & Evidence

What happens when an alleged affair, thousands of private messages, a deteriorating marriage, and a shocking death collide in a murder trial?
In this episode of Inside the Polygraph, David Goldberg examines the case surrounding Caleb Flynn and the death of his wife, Ashley Flynn—breaking down the relationships, communications, behavior, and evidence presented as part of the case.
Central to the story is Caleb’s alleged relationship with Aaliyah Botner. The episode explores the extraordinary volume of communications between them—reportedly totaling more than 100,000 messages—and the prosecution’s portrayal of a relationship that became increasingly intense. David examines the alleged affair, claims of obsession and manipulation, the burglary connected to the developing timeline, statements made by those involved, and the circumstantial evidence investigators and prosecutors have relied upon.
But this episode goes beyond the headlines.
Drawing from more than three decades of investigative experience, David discusses how investigators build cases when there is no single piece of evidence that tells the entire story. How important are text messages? What can behavior before and after a crime actually establish? When does circumstantial evidence become compelling—and when can assumptions cause investigators or the public to reach conclusions too quickly?
At the center of everything is Ashley Flynn, whose death turned a complicated personal situation into a criminal case now being examined in court.
This episode is about separating allegations from established facts, emotion from evidence, and suspicion from proof.
⚠️ DISCLAIMER: This episode discusses an active or ongoing criminal/legal matter and contains allegations and information presented through court proceedings, testimony, reporting, and other publicly discussed material. Any allegations concerning individuals discussed in this episode should be understood as allegations unless and until established through the appropriate legal process.
