Claire Carmelia has lived on the front range since 2012, and invested in Westminster by becoming a solo homeowner within walking distance of the new downtown in early 2020. Claire graduated SUNY Buffalo in 2010 with a degree in Environmental Science, and today is an IT Project Manager who leads infrastructure projects (cybersecurity, telephony, etc.) across the public and private sectors. Since moving to the front range, two of her four sisters have moved to the area as well; one in Aurora with Claire's two nieces who can often be seen around town or door knocking with Claire, and another who purchased 35 acres in CO Springs with her wife, after serving two terms in Iraq.

Having grown up as a foster-adopt child from an unhoused family, Claire knew early on that education and hard work were her path to stability. She earned college scholarships through relentless dedication despite learning to read and write late, worked multiple jobs to support herself from the age of 18, then used those tools to build a successful career through the tumult of graduating into the Great Recession which had evolved the career landscape.

Currently she serves on the Environmental Advisory Board, PSR Colorado, DRCOG, the Regional Transportation Committee, CML, and the North Metro Arts Alliance. Claire has built a life rooted in resilience, service, and community, and is deeply committed to giving back and building a future of stability, opportunity, and shared responsibility for generations to come.

Bruce Baker has been a resident of Westminster since 1995.

Starting his professional career with three years of active duty (and several years on reserve status) with the US Army, Baker spent the next 38 years as a retail pharmacist.  As a pharmacist Baker served in professional roles, continuing education roles and management roles.  In community service he has been a Boy Scout leader and youth sports coach.  He has served multiple times in political organizations and as a delegate to higher political meetings.  Baker was active in the Westminster Water Warriors re-call campaign of 2020/2021.  He has served two terms as a Westminster City Councilor, 2013 to 2017 and 2021 to 2023.  

Baker has been active in city issues and his positions have been transparent and openly expressed.

Rich is a Colorado native and graduate of Northglenn High School and the University of Northern Colorado, where he met his wife of 42 years, Shelly.  Shelly and Rich have three grown children and four grandkids and have lived in Westminster since 1991. Rich enjoys gardening, gourmet cooking & wine, riding road and mountain bikes, and traveling. Rich joined Farmers Insurance in 1988 in their corporate offices and, since 2003, has been an independent owner of the Rich Seymour Agency-Farmers Insurance located in the Westbrook Shopping Center located in my Westminster neighborhood.

Brett & Jamie sit down with Mayoral Candidate, David DeMott and discuss his current role as a City Council member and his race for Mayor of the City of Westminster.  

David DeMott is a Westminster native. He was raised in the Countryside neighborhood close to where he is now raising his family. David and his wife, Vanessa, have four children. Member of Westminster City Council and former Mayor Pro Tem elected originally November 2017 and Reelected November 2021.

He is an IT Professional who has over 20 years in the field spending with over 15 years in IT leadership. He has his Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Network Management.

Community Service

He currently serves on the Board of Directors for Butterfly Pavilion. He is an active member of both Police and Fire Academy Alumni groups, member of Westminster Historical Society and is an active church volunteer.

Previously he served on Board of Directors for Seniors' Resource Center, Westminster Rotary 7:10 Foundation Board of Directors, the Westminster Special Permit and License Board as the director of the homeowner group Neighbors for Countryside and PARTners PTO president at Witt Elementary.
