Temptation is something we’ve all experienced at some point within our lives. Oftentimes, we may want to blame others including God, just anyone except ourselves. However, James 1:13-15 is clear in saying, "When tempted, no one should say, "God is tempting me." For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone; but each person is tempted when they are dragged away by their own evil desire and enticed. Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death." So, how do we recognize the devil or satan’s schemes? Well, in the book of Genesis, we see how temptation came into the picture, deceiving mankind and causing us to live in a broken world we know see before us. Yet, we as believers in God, are able to overcome the temptation we face, with the help of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, who always makes a way of escape.
