You need to be your best to do your best work and you need to work with quality clients that can pay you. If you want to help people volunteer. Give a class at church or a community setting. When you are on LinkedIn or any place really you get people trying to sell their product. The problem is, they try to sell you before they even take the time to find out what you need. What problem do you solve and how can it help the person you are talking to right then? Figure that out first or you are just wasting your time. I recently heard of a woman who had to go to the emergency room but yet was still concerned about returning emails on her unpaid free time that work had sent her. This, my friends, is ridiculous.
