His father passed away when he was eighteen years old, his mother passed away just before his kids were born, and one of his daughters was born with an open spine (Spina Bifida) and had to be operated when she was just 6 days old, not even knowing if she would make it.

Jade, was born an artist.  From three years old, she was identified as a someone with a special artistic ability. At around age ten, Jade won an art competition, and sold her first painting.   She grew up in the countryside of the Netherlands, close to a beautiful and creative, seaside town, called Bergen. In conversation, Jade reflects on a memory, she talks about sitting around big campfires in the garden with her younger brother, parents, and their friends, and her two pet geese always close by her side.  

 Through her talents, Jade is able to express herself, and makes her dreams come true. In her up and coming exhibition, " We're all human", Jade showcases that we are all one, and there should be no segregation. What Jade hopes to get from this exhibition, is for people from different backgrounds, race, colour...to be able stand together, and find a common ground. A few weeks back, I went into Axel's gorgeous coffee bar in Haarlem in The Netherlands, called "Ax Specialty Coffee". I knew that this person was so connected to their craft. The energy in his tiny coffee bar was calming, filled with love, passionate, real, authentic. The coffee was just perfect!. I knew I had to get this person into the studio with me, and find out what their life story is.

Sarah was born in Iraq, and in her early teens, she fled with her mom, her dad and two siblings, across the mountains and lands of Iraq. Through to Russia, and eventually they arrived in The Netherlands. Sarah had to quickly integrate, learn the language, study hard, and find her place in The Netherlands.
