  • SOPHIA: YOU DON'T OWE YOUR PARENTS ANYTHING

In this episode of Inspired by Inspired People, I sit down with Sophia, a stylist with a big personality, an even bigger heart, and a lot more depth than meets the eye.

We talk about working in the fashion industry and the pressure to constantly prove yourself to feel like you belong. Sophia opens up about her complicated relationship with her parents, growing up without the love and safety she needed, and how those experiences have shaped the way she trusts people today. We talk about setting boundaries, distancing yourself from family, and the difficult realisation that being related to someone doesn’t mean you owe them a place in your life.

But this episode isn’t all serious. We talk about dating, getting ghosted, learning to deal with rejection, and giving your friends advice you probably should take yourself. For Sophia, friendship means showing up, no matter how long the day has been. Her friends are her family, and she’ll always make time for the people she loves.

We also get into loneliness, self-care, and finding a balance between being ambitious and simply doing nothing. Whether she’s going for a run, recharging in bed, or going to the cinema alone and leaving feeling like the main character, Sophia reminds us that you don’t always have to be productive to be doing enough.

A conversation about family, boundaries, trust, and choosing the people who make you feel at home.

This is Sophia beyond the job, beyond the humour, and beyond the expectations of others.

  • CHRISTIAN: OVERSTIMULATION CREATES CALM

For this episode of Inspired by Inspired People, I met Christian, visual artist, spray painter and spatial designer, known as antidote.psd.

We recorded the whole conversation in an abandoned building, which somehow felt very fitting for Christian and the way he sees the world.

Christian is dyslexic, which is also where his artist name comes from. What once made him feel different or held him back has become part of his creative world. Turning words, letters and shapes into something that doesn’t necessarily need to be understood.

We talk about his love for overstimulation and chaos, the feeling of watching his work come to life outside of a screen, and why he is always looking for the next thing to learn, experience or improve.

For Christian, standing still doesn’t really seem to be an option. It’s about continuing, experimenting, working, experiencing and becoming the best version of yourself whatever that might look like.

A conversation about seeing the world differently, finding calm in the chaos, and turning something that once felt like a limitation into something completely your own.

This is Christian - beyond the art. (if that's even possible)

Finn schreibt Gedichte. Kurze, lange, manchmal leise, manchmal direkt.

  • HAKAN: THE MORE YOU PRACTICE THE LESS YOU COPE

In the second episode of Inspired by Inspired People, I sit down with Hakan — spiritual coach, tattoo artist and former creative director — for a conversation that goes far beyond his work.

We start with the little things: Is he an introvert or an extrovert? What’s his favourite food? What makes him happy?

But the conversation quickly goes deeper.

Hakan talks about his childhood, the experiences that shaped him, his spiritual journey, the things he believes in and the moments that have changed the way he sees life.

We also talk about what he wants to bring into the world, what gives him energy and what he hopes people take away from his work and his presence.

Because behind every artist is a person with a story, a past, a belief system and a world of their own.

  • BECKY: THE PERSON BEHIND INSPIRED BY INSPIRED PEOPLE

Before asking anyone else “Who are you?”, I thought it was only fair to introduce myself.

In the first episode of Inspired by Inspired People, I’m sitting in front of the camera to tell you a little bit about who I am, where I come from, what I’ve done so far and what brought me here.

I talk about my background, my previous work, my mental health podcast Becky Bubble, and — most importantly — where the idea for IBIP came from.

I’ve always been fascinated by people who create things that make me stop, think, feel or see the world differently. Their work inspires me, energises me and makes me curious.

But there has always been one question behind that inspiration:

Who is the person behind it all?

And that question is exactly where Inspired by Inspired People begins.

Thank you for being here. I hope you enjoy getting to know me — and I hope you’ll stick around for the people I’m about to introduce you to.

And now, let’s meet the person behind the artist.
