In our digitally-blended-decade of the 2020's, the delineation between IRL & URL is truly blurred. From unbelievable XR, to heart-racing interactive stories, to metaverses of millions, when near anything imaginable is technologically possible, how do we continue to imagine, invent and extend our new realities?
With cleverly designed digital experiences, from physical spaces built for mixed reality, data-driven personalisation, to voice-based conversational interfaces, our everyday realities are blurry and blended— making way for our storyworlds to be too.
Christina Gerakiteys speaks with Jessie Hughes, an internationally-recognised Australian new media artist and technologist. She has been named one of Australia’s Future Changers for her commitment to using digital innovation for positive social impact, and was named a 2020 Sir General John Monash Scholar.
